Again Fteik fights to elevate subjective words of and even misquotes to try and justify elevating a pathetic clutch of 29 worlds full of racist Ingsoc blue elitests to Mara-speculation levels (the worst is Mittyphiles can't even concede that even from Zahn it was only ever an assumption based on a momentary glance at a map with colored regions) which are themselves below the vastly overrated Mitty autoerotic vast secret vaults of whatever. I'd really love to commend Zahn on being able to create this massive assumption and get his fans to cling to it so dogmatically.

The Chiss are a pathetic backward inferior relatively insignificant clutch of worlds out in the middle of nowhere in no way comparable to any even token galactic power.

To be fair to Fteik, he had to translate the VOTF to English, so it may not have been entirely clear. However, more on what exactly went down with the Outbound Flight Project will be revealed in "Survivor's Quest," and Zahn's book in 2005 that details the exact events of the Project itself. I should hope our answer will be found there.

Not only are Chris O´Farell and IP unable to understand what i wrote in the first place, they are also unable to give me an answer to the questions i asked and instead continue to repeat their rants from before. This is no discussion, this is ignoring points that lead to conclusions they don´t like. I´m happily willing to conceede to their point, if they can give me a satisfying answer to the points i brought up. If not we´ll have to wait for Survivor´s Quest or another source, that sheds more light on the subject.

Concerning "significant" threats to the galaxy we have seen in SW, that had a surprisingly small powerbase: There were the Nagai and the Toffs in Marvel (like the Chiss from the UR according to starwars.com), Prince-Admiral Krennel with a Pulsar-Station in the Tion-Hegemony (although a fake the possibility of its existance caused great worries for the NR in "Isard´s Revenge), the Hutt´s version of a DeathStar in Darksaber, the Yevethans and of course the Yuuzhan Vong, where one single planet is enough to house all the survivors of the war.
