By the way, I'm back in Santiago with daily Internet access in case anyone hasn't guessed.

I'm not entirely sure what to make of this. By "the bar in question" which bar do you mean? And who is this contact?

the bar in question happens to be the electric nipple. I apologize for not being clearer than that. As for his contact, it is an NPC. I have not named him or her, or anything of the sort.

I figured as much, but I didn't want to assume and then realize you meant something else

I'm not sure how to interpret this exactly. Do you mean that you want to shoot 2 shots each at all 3 people in this round, or 2 at one guy this round, 2 at the next guy next round, etc?

For those wondering how and when experience will be doled out... well I was kind of wondering about that myself. :) The floor is open to suggestions.

Justin: Quick note, Blaine and Dirk are having a conversation via PM, so if you need to execute the turn and CorSec and I haven't posted yet, that's why.

As for the exp issue, I've got two ideas, one more structured than the other:

1. Distribute XP after a page of posts, or after five turns, or some other set length of time/posts.

2. Give XP individually after a significant event. The event could be a well role-played conversation/encounter, combat, or something else.

Conversation posted.

I prefer having experience awarded after a full event has taken place. (The good Doctor escaping the police being a 'full event' - even though it led directly into another event.) It can be broken down into what kind of action occurred during the event, with a sliding scale which considers the difficulty of the action(s). (Which, in turn, considers the player's skills levels compared to the action taken or NPC's skills levels.) But that sounds terribly complicated.

The only background I have is from the various computer RPG's and how experience is handled there.

Then, of course, there's 'discretionary experience' that the GM awards simply because he's a nice guy. *cough* What?

Whoa, hang on a sec. Didn't I say I was aiming? And since when could my gun fire more than 2 shots per round? I thought I made it clear with:
Bad luck for you, Mr. Migraine Man, he thoguth to himself as he pulled out his Beretta U22 Neos, hald aimed it with both hands for the leader's head. He faitly whispered with a smirk: Now here's my drill.
Was his one action for this round, while:
Two shots for the leader, four shots for Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, and another 4 shots in case anyone of them needed reminding that Stavis is going to take their shit.
Was mostly a mental list for future actions once the first one was out of the way(Yeah, I should have italisized it, but then again I wasn't aware I could simply fire off a full clip in a blink of an eye, and thought I'd note intentions like usual in case I was away for too long).

Am I stuck with that round of piss-poor wil aiming, or can I get a revision for my intended action of just shooting the leader first?

EDIT:

The second one. I would have posted earlier, but I just finished editing together a 2 and a half minute music video over the last 2 days, and didn't have the chance to clarify. My last paragraph was a list of subsequent planned actions, as mentioned above. I certainly couldn't hit 3 punks with 2 bullets and firing all 10 rounds didn't even enter his or my list of possible/reasonable actions. Sorry for the mix-up.

You're right. I goofed and didn't remember the last post about aiming. So the -3 shouldn't apply.

Using multiple actions you can fire up to 6 times in a round with a semi-auto weapon (each 2 shots is 1 action). Since I have to edit the post due to my own screwup anyway, I'll fix that too.

Looks like things turned out a lot better for Stavis after the revision :). Oh btw, you never specified what kind of ammo you were using. I assumed hollowpoint, and that's what I figured for in the post (hence 6 and 5 damage from a 1d4 gun).

Right now I'm working on version 3.0 of the Big Book. It's going to kick major ass. I haven't gotten all that far yet, but Here's the link in case anyone wants to see where I'm going so far with it.

Yeah, hollow point is fine, and probably what I wolud have picked if I specified the type of .22lr he had. Thanks.

I have so got dibs on that rat basterd's SMG. I think Stavis' big, left inner empty coat pocket would be a good place of it. :)

But Heckle and Jeckle have to get their dues first. I'll probably just give them 2 shots each next turn, but I'll have to deliberate on what Stavis' moment of thought is and make my move later. Bullets and giggles ensue. :D

No you can't aim and fire in the same round.

EDIT: You didn't seriously expect to be able to do that, did you? The lameness and cheapness would be off the scale :D

Hey Alyrium, next time you're going out of town for a few days please let me know ahead of time. Otherwise the game's being held up and I don't know why. That goes for everyone.

Can do, man. Of course, I don't have any plans to go out of town in the near future, but there is always the possibility of being hit by a bus...

Since Ernesto and Mikal's activities aren't "time sensitive", we can execute as soon as we get Alyrium's post.

Finished executing the turn. Sorry for the delay, but they closed down at the place I was at and the 24 hour gas station with Internet that I would normally go to didn't have any of their machines in working order.
