Sad as in lame or as in depressing?

I don't really care much for Futurama. Family Guy is much funnier.

Depressing, it had many funny parts though.

That was indeed sad

In fact, I felt like punching Fry for not bringing his dog back
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

I did too, Until I realized that there was no way he could've known better.

In his mind, he was doing the right thing, Not wanting to drag his dog back into a past he thought he had grown from. He had no idea the dog had spent all those twelve years waiting for him.

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

I saw this episode a while ago, way too depressing for my taste.

Was that episode based on that dog whos master who was a cop died in England when it was like 2 or 3 and everyday for the rest of its life it would sit at his grave only leaving to go to the restaurant that gave him some scraps of food?

Man, that was the most depressing thing on TV, ever.

Fry decides it would be wrong to bring back his dog, and he continues on with his life.

Flips to his dog sitting outside of Pennucci's Pizza and waiting for him, as the years go by and the dog and neighborhood get progressively shabbier. Especially with that music.

Jeez, I got tears just thinking of it.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

Yeah, that's the one about Fry's dog. Sweet Zombie Jesus it was sad.

I also recommend, for those comic book fans out there, the superhero Futurama. If you want I could look up it's name ...

Okay, the superhero episode is #62, Season 5, Less than Hero, and the sad dog episode is called Jurassic Bark, #58, also Season 5.

At least it is according to this episode guide I looked up ...
"Our people were meant to be living gods, warrior-poets who roamed the stars bringing civilization, not cowards and bullies who prey on the weak and kill each other for sport. I never imagined they'd prove themselves so inferior. I didn't betray our people – they betrayed themselves."
