Not in FF1...but then again FF1 only had Bahamut and the Airship persay to it FF lineage.

Still having a game of the combined FF's would be fun but have something of the most messed up and convulted battle system.

Square did make another non-FF RPG, a really fucking good one too called Bahamut's Lagoon. The Underdogs has a translated rom of it.

Bah, the Highwind was the best airship. It had the best Cid too, one who can only be described as Zefram Cochrane.

And I too liked FFVIII, FFVII is my fave and I'm getting around to finally playing FFIX after stealing it off my bro who'd hid it somewhere.

Never did like the sound of FFX, may get it on Platinum if FFX-2 is anygood (though I dislike the idea of a sequel, same with the Advent Children film being made).

Here here. I could tell when they started slacking towards the tail end of Disc 1 (legend has it the game was rushed out the door), but it was like thirty seconds into Disc 2 and already I could feel the suck. I kept with it, though.

Addendum: I dunno, I hated FF8 because of the character development. Specifically because it came at such contrived moments. So here we are, running through the enemy base, la-dee-da...killin' the guards...all of a sudden things come to a screeching halt at an intersection because the party wants to know how Squall is 'feeling'.

Because then they don't have to think up any other names.

I mean look how easy it is just to attach numbers.

Plus you already have a customer base, just think you get fans of a previous Final Fantasy game buying it because it is a sequel to a game they love.

I hope this game series dies and soon, I never did like it.

Indeed...I'm sorry Austin/Myers bit of "It's a MAN, baby!" can be used far too easily.

As for Death's wanting for the franchise to end...unlikely for a while given the sheer money it pulls in from Japan alone allows to comfortably float let alone abroad.

Maybe when the next Video Game crash.
