United Federation of Planets vs One Super Star Destroyer

Post by Praxis »

Hmmm...If a single Executer-class Super Star Destroyer was alone in Federation space with no backup except a little resupply base with nothing but replacement torpedos and food supplies (so no running out of food or bomber missles), would it be able to conquer the Federation?

It's a tough one for me...while a SSD would surely crush any Federation fleet with ease, if several hundred ships (even a thousand or two) from the core Federation worlds (Vulcan, Earth, Alpha Centauri, etc) got in a battle of gigantic proportions, would they manage to get through the shields?

I find it really hard that the federation could pass through the shields of a SSD even with a several thousand ships.

In a word, no.

Hell somewhere in these backlogs, I think we simmered down to how bad it would be.

But to answer the question...one SSD would crush the Federation effortlessly.

Conquer, no. The manpower required to control over a hundred worlds simply cannot fit on one SSD.

However, the SSD could effortlessly eliminate the UFP as a viable entity.

It is easier to destroy then it is to invade. At best the SSD could conquer a series of planets as supply worlds and then destroy the rest. An alternative is the threat of total annihilation unless they subjigate.

With its hyperdrive, its ability to annihilate any federation fleet, and ability to BDZ any federation planet, the SSD would become a strategic weapon like the DS and the individual federation planets would be forced to surrender out of fear of destruction.

Since everybody is pretty much saying the same thing...gonna lock it, before we devolve into spam.

Next time use the Search function...it helps and finds out the wonders of the universe.
