Who do you think will kill Mace Windu?

Post by Rogue 9 »

So, who'll get Mace Windu first, Anakin/Vader or Boba Fett? Honestly I think it'll be Vader, but I can make a case for Boba. He has one hell of a motive; the death of his father at Windu's hands. We all know he's one badass bounty hunter when he grows up. And he's Vader's favorite bounty hunter. Gotta be a reason for that. Of course, the reason could be that he's an unaltered version of the original stormtroopers, but I think there's more than that. What do you think?

Would be some nice symmetry to have Boba kill Mace. Though it won't balance out how stupid Jango was to get killed in the first place.
That is the sound of inevitability.

Mace Windu won't go out like a punk.

Being killed by a 12-13 year old when you're the finest Jedi warrior in the galaxy is going out like a punk.

Well, how old Boba is depends entirely on the time interval between episodes 2 and 3. Maybe the time interval has been released somewhere, but I haven't seen it. If anybody knows, let me know.

Boba was 10 or 11 during AOTC. I don't know how long the Clone Wars were, but it would probably take a while to beat down a droid army and fleet that massive. (Related note: Why were private corporations permitted to maintain gigantic militaries when the Republic had no military at all?!?) He could be 18 or maybe 20. Admittedly, he won't be very old.

Mace got Jango because the jet pack broke. That simple. He would have taken off when he saw that the blasters weren't working on him if he could have. And Windu would have had to deal with the million or so droids then. Taking the time to use the Force to pull him down could have been fatal.

Meh. Jango should have used his flamethrower. Then Mace could have used the alter-energy power and absorbed while still beheading Fett

Not if that 12-13 year old drops a sesmic charge on him. :P

That's a weak contrived way to kill him. I want to see him in real Jedi combat, as in lightsabre combat, not dying because of being at the wrong end of a bomb for an easy 30 second resolution.

I a Jedi can absorb a flamethrower then why didnt Mace do it when Jango first shot him with the flamethrower? Instead he immediatly retreated when he had the drop on Dooku and Jango.

I think Darth Vader should be the one to get Mace. That'd be awesome.

I have this scene in my head where Mace confronts Palpatine, then a door nearby opens. All you hear at first is that famous breathing (the entire theater cheers at this point  ) then the heavy footsteps. The camera shows the boots walking toward Mace, then slowly moves up---Vader ignites his lightsabre---and the camera follows the lightsabre up to reveal Vader's masked face.

Then the music starts, Palpatine says a few words, then Vader proceeds to lay the smackdown on Mace. 8)

I'm putting my money on the big guy in the black armour :)

Although, it could be Darth Sidious - he IS a sith lord after all
For Vader to remain in thrall of him for a quarter century, he's gotta be some major badass!

Tyranis/Dooku is another possibility, but I think its a remote one. Probably Vader.

It a rare abillity. Vader had it in the canon, as did the Horn/Halcyon line of Jedi and Anakin Solo in the EU. Im not saying Mace could do this ability just that it would be coll if he did.

Either Anakin or clone/stormtroopers, I think, if not by Palpatine himself.

Having a fucking kid like Boba (who would only be about 12-13, by the way) would be absolutely pathetic...

That sounds excellent.

To add to that, though, I'd find it both hilarious and immensely gratifying if Mace started bobbing, weaving, backfliping, and generally doing all that fancy shit that has been saturating the NT...

And then Vader just chops him in half.

Unfortunately, that won't happen. But I can dream...

Anakin, of course. Anakin has to kill the Jedi, including Mace.

In single combat with Darth Vader, of course. And no cheap shit either, I don't want Windu getting thrown into a bottomless shaft, I want Vader to simply have the raw skill needed to kill one of the greatest Jedi the Order has ever known.

Sam Jackson said that if he had to pick, then it would definitely be Vader, because Vader is the only one bad ass to do it enough. I never argue with the man with the "Bad Motherfucker" Wallet.

That's just dumb. Obviously it's Yoda, because Mace steals Jar Jar away from him.

Hope it goes something like this, except replace Jango with Vader or Palpatine; possibly the clones too with the Royal Guards that Palpatine always has with him. 8)
