Anybody know anything about Vietnam?

Post by Darksider »

I've got a history project due in about fourty-five min. and I need to know the dates of these events.

1. Geneva accords splits vietnam

2. Kennedy sends military advisors

3. Lyndon Johnson goes to vietnam

4. Gulf of tonkin resolution

5. Coup of Ngo Dinh Diem

6. Bombing of North vietnamese harbors

7. Invasion of cambodia and Laos

8. Tet offensive

9. Nixon goes to china

10. Peace talks begin

11. "Vietnamization" Of the War

12. My Lai Incident

13. Fall of saigon

I've checked google, but none of the timelines give the dates for those events.

(I also need to know the significance of the last two)

Not to be a smartass, but I'd bet you could google or yahoo each one of those events and get answers much quicker than waiting for us to reply! :)

(I'd help, but i'm at work...crud another call.....)

I study history, but I can never remember dates (oh sweet irony...). Sorry. Like someone said, it'll be quicker if you just google it.

You think I don't know that?

I was searching on google while you were repling. This was just back-up in case I didn't find anything

Always have a fall back option.

I have a better fall-back option:

Next time do your own damn homework before it's actually due...

Fuck you

I had shitloads of other homework to do, four tests to study for and on top of that I had to visit my grandparents. With all that other crap I barely had any time left to sleep.

So fuck off

12. My Lai Incident

13. Fall of saigon

My Lai...mass slaughter of a village by some Army Lieutenant (I think it was an LT anyway).

Fall of Saigon (damn man, it's a city...CAPITALIZE! :P )...End of the war, mass pullout of Americans and several South Vietnamize by US Marines and the Navy.

That's all I'm given ya. And, to be honest, it's all I care to think of right now too. :)

Go to a library and crack open some books. Plugging "Vietnam War" into Google hardly counts as doing research.

Though these questions are so basic it should work just fine. *Does a bit of Googleing* Yup multipul correct answers for every one of those questions I put in.

I may have unintentionally misrepresented myself when I called it a "Project."

We only got it on monday

It's just a small worksheet with a timeline on it that you have to fill in, you don't have to make anything major.

That homework and studying is all stuff I had to do on monday.

So what were you doing the rest of the week?

Sheesh.. I had my homework done that night, or I didn't get to watch TV, play Atari, or go outside. If I didn't get it done by dinner, I didn't get dessert.

So forgive me, Darksider, if I'm not sympathetic to you not being able to fill out a simple timeline by Wednesday.

Kids these days..
