I would just like to say a big thankyou for deciding to take steps to reduce the length of your current debate. I have always enjoyed your previous debates but this one has reached such a length that my brain was starting to hurt. Any steps towards enforcing brevity should be aplauded.

In most debates against such a person it always comes down to defining the key points, elimianting tangental branches and explaining in detail after pesky detail how they are incorrect and you are correct.

I've done it with him before over on ASVS (constantly restating his long winded replies in short format) and it enraged him to my delight.

Yeah, DarkStar always used to do this with us, here, too. Not quite to the extent as he tried with DW, though, because we tried to keep him honest (like DW did). Still, it has to show a kind of quiet concession when the only way you can beat an opponent is by simply pissing him off to the point where he grows tired of the debate and quits.

Ooh, very nice. I really like how you created that little diagram that shows how the entirety of canon evidence fits in the "overall continuity", while only a little bit of the EU does not. Succinctly put, that.

I also like how you show how the DET theory (as Darkstar calls it) really is just a "chain reaction".

My favorite RSA moment on ASVS:
You cited part of the ANH novelization to disprove one of his points, so he grabbed it, assumed it was a complete thought instead of just the relevant snippet, and posted a new argument for an ultra-tiny Empire. Then when he was informed that the novelization did not support it, he accused you of deliberate sabotage.

What a fucking idiot.
