Something I saw while watching T3

Post by Zoink »

I was watching T3, and like the other movies I pause to see what the Terminator data is actually saying... and you'll be happy to know that the T-850 model 101 comes equiped with "QUICKTIME" installed (and was functional) and built-in access to "MP3.COM" (which was not functioning, either due to the virus or damage from the TX)

Must buy quicktime......

I though that it might just be an easter egg. It was in Arnold's boot-up at the end. In the list it had something like "QUICKTIME ACCESSABLE" and "MP3.COM NO ACCESS" I kinda thought that the "no access" for MP3s was a shot against mp3s by the director.

Or it was merely a wink and a nod at the RIAA's stupidity... ;)

I noticed that the Cessna they boarded in the hanger and the one shown flying through the air had completely different tail numbers. I looked up the tail number of the plane shown flying and it belongs to a man living in California. The tail number on the plane in the hanger is not in the FAA registry, so it was probably just a full size prop.

Reminds me of the time when stuff like AMD and DirectX appeared in code/data screens in 08th MS Team and Gundam Wing. :)

)I heard that if you watch closely in Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, you get to see either the Maya logo or Alias|Wavefront's company logo on a big movie poster somewhere in that beginning scene.

There's marketing for you (pretty powerful message too it would've been---had Final Fantasy actually been made with Maya, but that's beside the case

Hah! Don't suppose you have a screenshot, do you?

I guess that the T-X is the RIAA's new method of combating piracy. :)

They should have built on the MP3 thing more. They could have introduced that tidbit of info to John, then later when Arnold is fighting the TX, he could have connected and downloaded Britney's "Baby hit me one more time..." and used his voice modulator to play it.

I ran it by Berman and Bragga and they think that idea would have rocked!

Hey, it's probably the only way it'd be stopped!

Thats because Skynet controls RIAA. And it helped to zap Napster as a part of its global takeover conspiracy scheme. You'll laugh, but you'll see in a few years! Im building arms cache in my house as we speak.

Good Old James Bond movies (failed to count them all, they are like +infinity) are full of easter eggs too. Mainly anti-Microsoft and anti-Gates stuff, like in one of the movies the software that was used to operate a nuclear bomb had Windows logo on the display screen.
