All I've seen is the first episode, as I can't be bothered to watch something that's not even five minutes long with no sort of plot development whatsoever.

I highly agree with Vympel on the art issue. Maybe they should have contracted the animation out to an anime studio. At least then looking at the characters wouldn't be an insult toward your eyes...

Actually, the first 4 episodes are an arc. There is some plot development over the whole story arc.

Regarding the canon issue:

Seeing as all other television incarnations of Star Wars, such as the Ewoks and Droids cartoons and the Ewok Adventure telefilms are classified under official, I see no reason to categorise Clone Wars any differently.

Why don't they just release it all at once on DVD like the Animatrix?

The first one was decent, the second one promising, the third one dull, the fourth one was cool if VERY silly, #5 was a little goofy but still cool, and six was VERY good(about time they recycled that concept!).

Why did that Sith "witch" use green and blue sabres instead of red? 'Fraid of stealing Tyrannus' thunder?

Watch Ep. 7, you'll see.

The first episode is really more of a trailer than an actual episode. Watch eps 2 and 3. It will only take five minutes to watch, it's on cartoonnetwork.com

And the artwork is a matter of opinion. You happen to think it sucks, while others happen to think if it was contracted out to an anime studio it would suck. There's no accounting for taste.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

Just watched all the current ones. You're right that most of them have much better pacing than the first. I still feel that a 15-minute format would have been more suited, though.

Overal it's a little too Samurai Jack-ish for my tastes, not to say that I don't like SJ, though. The styles just conflict a little too much for me.

The General Durge-AT-TE scene was nowhere near as bad as some made it out to me.

Taterwhatever (the director) seems to have a hang-up on lances. They're everywhere.

I never cared much for Kit Fisto, so that combined with underwater action made Chapter 5 pretty boring.

The art is still too ugly and uncomplimentary for me to fully enjoy the series, so I still hold my above criticism as my opinion on the matter.

I'm getting sick and tired of this lance shit. Although at least they had a Jedi in Clonetrooper armor tonight, finally.

Durge does earn Tough SOB points.. lots of them (and I noticed that he does indeed appear to be stronger than the IG droids)

Australia's cartoon network site has them as well, but they don't work yet.

Well, just saw Chapter 8. ENOUGH WITH THE LANCES ALREADY!

Apart from that, I liked the fight between Obi-Wan and Durge.

I'm kind of happy that at least one Jedi thinks that wearing armor may not be a bad idea.

Just did, very good (if a little nonsensical) episode. Lightsabre duels are fun.

Finished Chapter 8, it was very, very pointless for lancers vs lancers.

Obi-wan and gang drop in on the HQ of the Banking Clan and forces the head guy to surrender. Durge flies in on his jet pack and his brought down by blaster fire and a rocket.

As the smoke clears tentacles beat the shit out of the troopers and Obi-wan fights this monster thing made from tentacles, you see the tentacles in 8. Eventually the tentacles grab Obi-wan and draw him into Durge's body. Obi-wan, using the Force I guess explodes Durge who is presumably dead.

Though at the end you see some liquidy bits go out of screen somehow.

Managed to see Chapter 3. That kicked arse. Easily the best episode of the 9 so far.

Y'know, I really like how they've portrayed Obi-wan. The personality is just right.
