Turkey bombed again

Post by Thunderfire »

Turkey has been bombed by terrorist again. This time the brits in Istanbul were the target. Look like the enemy in the war on terror is fighting back...
Let's hope that this will be the last one for some time.

Turkish television, quoting city health officials, said that besides the 25 killed, 390 people were injured.
Fuck fuck fuck.

And terrorism definitely reaches Europe. And after seeing the TV images of the attack I made up my mind. I want Turkey in the E.U ASAP.

Why? Like, I don't see why they shouldn't be in Europe (irrational anti-Turk pro-Greek bias aside for just a moment), but what has the bombing of Turkey got to do with it?

They need to clear up their human rights record some more.

Im fairly apathetic over Turkey joining up (although 60+ million more bodies for the collecti, erm union, sounds nice) now the Ukraine on the other hand, I can’t wait for that .

Kurds wouldn't bomb the British consulate. The Kurds view the the UK and US as potential allies in Iraq. The Brits did just get done figting with the Kurds (and the US) to overthrow Saddam. To me, this reeks of Islamo-facists. Be they Al-Quaeda or somone else. But thats just my opinion.

I kind of have to chuckle at the fact that this takes place a week before Thanksgiving in the US.

Just when the American populace forgot about Al-Qaeda, they pull this. Congratulations, you've given the Brits a valid reason to bomb your asses!

Oh yeah, I get it.

But still, I'm wondering what the repercussions of this will be. Al-Qaeda has just given the UK a firm reason to nail them, those fuckers!

indeed they have. As we have seen over the past several years, Tony Blair has little tolerance for such things, and isn't afraid to hit back hard. I just hope that this was 'it'. I hope this is the big hit that has been building, and not simply a prelude of things to come.

The bigger problem may be doing this actually in Turkey (reason being al-Qaeda isn't getting anywhere near the UK). This is going to piss off an awful lot of people who are growing more fond of the West and likely rob the fundies there of any support. We may just get a bigger partner out of this disaster against these bastards.

Turkey is a secular Muslim state. It must drive the islamo-fundies crazy, that Muslims can live and even prosper without the strict laws binding the billion other Muslims. I do agree though that this can backfire and piss off the very people Al Quaeda claims to represent.

Nice way to dismiss the 1970s in Europe. I'm sure the victims of
the Commie terrorist groups will thank you.

Nope. The main Kurdish faction fighting for Turkeys land, the PKK, absolutely hates the US and UK.

Yeah, Europe is a happy happy land that hasn't been terrorised yet, until
that evil George W Bush provoked Al Quaeda with his war on terror.

Don't for the Red Army Brigades and the Red army factions that went around kidnapping politicians in Italy and Germany during that time as well.

That should read:
Don't forget the Red Amy Brigade and Red Army Faction, Leftist terrorist groups that went around kidnapping politicians in Germany and Italy and eventually murdering them in an effort to bring Europe under Stalinist dictatorship.
