And you never considered that we've had tons of these threads ever since the board's inception?
And you never considered people haven't seen them before? Or that people change their minds, and have something different to say?

At the risk of hijacking Supermans thread...are you insane? Why do you want the hard drugs you just listed legalised?
For similar reasons that I want marijuana legalized. Coke and heroin are harmful, but the effort to reduce consumption via prohibition has been more harmful and largely ineffective. Remember that both drugs were widely and legally used in the early 20th century without the vast problems associated with them now. Plus, it's not the government's concern if someone harms themself, only if they harm others (real objectively verifiable harm, not fuzzy unfalsifiable shit like 'It hurts their families' or 'Communties suffer').

PCP and meth stay illegal not because they're more dangerous to the user, but because they make the user dangerous to those around him. Any drug that's highly addictive, makes the user more prone to violence, AND increases his pain tolerance is too dangerous to be legal. Plus, with coke and heroin legal, demand for more exotic and dangerous drugs should fall.

I would also legalize them, however I would secretly mix them with poision, easy and quick way to get rid of the weeds in the garden.
Once again, HDS makes the unsupported claim that all drug users are useless dregs who deserve to die.

Please stop dancing. Your point is...?
Plus, it's not the government's concern if someone harms themself,
It concerns those governments who provide public health.

Are you ok with assuming more people would start using them if they became legal?

Hmmmm, should. If you want to change peoples minds, you'll have to do a lot better then "should".

They're fucked up morons by my standards and since I have the power I am more than willing to rid the world of them.

I can't see how any sane person would put poison like heroin or cocaine or ecstasy in their bodies, what is wrong with these people? And the kids who do it? Well I do pity their parents to have years of work in raising a child be for naught.
Also, since I would provide public healthcare, it's in my best interests to make sure they do not live to enjoy it's benefits.

We are pretty much after the same thing, you seem to think that if drugs are available and legal, crime will go down, sure but the problem remains, also on some levels it condones such behaviour, I could simply not do that.

I OTOH think that if the drug users are not in the land of the living anymore they won't do crimes either and can be put to socially constructive tasks such as fertilizing flowers.

That's funny, seeing as I've done E and yet I haven't become a leach on society's teat. I'm pretty sure I'm more useful to society doing my job and paying taxes than I would be fertilizing flowers (irony moment: I work in a lawn and garden supply store that sells fertilizer for flowers).

Hmm. I would make the dealing of drugs a capital crime. No dealer shall ever kill one of my friends by selling him a secretly crack-laced joint again. Advocating the legalization of drugs would be punishable by 20 years in prison. The 21st Amendment to the Constitution would be repealed posthaste. Tobacco would be immediately banned, no questions, no exceptions, no excuses. Hmm. I have more, but I think this is already set up for a napalm strike as it is. *Puts on flameproof suit.*

I'd give it to someone else.

I'd try lots and lots of things which seem like good and practical ideas, only to discover that in reality, life doesnt quite look like that. Then I'd get very depressed, and go find a cave, and a posse of moose and wander round in purple tights and antlers for the rest of my days feeling very disillusioned with life.

Give myself the power to get laid, hold the world ransom for a few billion dollars for my own spending, and make stupid commericals illegal.

I'd make NZ part of Australia, and start an Oceanian Empire.

After much consideration, I have decided that I would pass on my leadership to David McNamara. Jeans are eeeeeevil.
