Sniper Muhammad Gets Death Sentence
5 minutes ago Add U.S. National - AP to My Yahoo!

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - A jury decided Monday that John Allen Muhammad should be executed for masterminding the sniper attacks that terrorized the Washington area for three weeks last fall.

Jurors sent word they had reached a decision after deliberating five hours over two days. Jurors convicted the 42-year-old Army veteran of murder a week ago and then heard testimony in the sentencing phase.
Now, let's just see if the judge follows suit.

Not unless you ship him off to Utah. Anyway, if we're lucky, they'll miss his vein a couple times with the needle.

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

More like a dozen times. I belive that was the record. And, because the guy was a drug user, they couldn't find a backup vein so they stuck the backup needle in his groin. Let's hope they recreate this during his execution.

Have a very nice day.

If shooting is to be the method of death, then it should involve the lowest power .22cal handgun rounds that can be found, and his body first being pump full of coagulants.

implant 1 lb of C4 in him on 'random timer' that will go off some time in the next 6 months.

Leave him in a room the explosion won't hurt, strapped to a table with food going in via an IV.

THAT's what he deserves

Personally I'm for handing him a thing of draino and a shot glass and seeing how long he'll last.

Am I right to understand that he might still get life, although it seems unlikely?

Honestly, I would have found it utterly inconceivable if he didn't get death. I'm a card-carrying social liberal, and I'd gladly send this fucker to the gallows.

Hmmm, I've actually heard quite a few people, who are against the death penelty, think that as well. Interesting.

Right you are. Although calling it unlikely is a gross understatement.

Well, the judge can nullify it. But if he lets it stand, then it gets automatic appeals but even then, this guys chances are slim. On good side, for him, he'll be on death row and not available for ass rapings by the general pop.

He only has 3 years to live if it's Death. See, VA has the shortest time to the needle of all states. Texas, OTOH, is like 11-14 years

The sad thing is that men like him committ crimes just as bad or worse than this all the time, and if the media doesn't demonize them they have a pack of protesters backing them until the day they die, assuming they get the death penalty at all. Hell in some states Malvo wouldn't be givin the death penalty because the judge would be incapable of sentencing him to it. I say put a gun in the hands of the parents of the 13 year old boy he shot, and Amnesty International and the Europussies that back it can go blow themselves.

It's amazing how many people that are against the death penalty are suddenly for it when a family member is murdered, or people that are for total gun control turn against it when it comes to their own personal safety.

True, so true. But I must point out that they rarely get air time. The other day when they convicted Mohumad, alot of the family members got 10sec blurbs on the news. At least one, that I remember, went off on a 'we need to ban all guns in America' rant. Thats the kind of shit that gets air time.

And your point is? Just because one group of people still do not want the death penalty does not mean the majority of the families of victims of murder do not.
