Destiney's Way does confirm that the Vong are hurting for warriors. You were right.

Woah that was over 2 months ago - got a specific quote just so I have something to cite other than my impression from the earlier books, thanks :D .

Theres a couple of them. One where Shimira is chewing out Lah for losing so many warriors in the process of conquering, one where they decide they are going to have to create more of those thrall soldiers we saw in Ruin so that the warriors can man the ships (God I hope we don't get another BFC style cop out ending), one where Jaina leads a mission that wiped out all their remaining reserves, and one where the NR calculates they have killed 1/3rd of the Vongs forces. Basically most of the book is tearing down the illusion of Vong strength that was built up before. That and proving all the hints WJW dropped in the interviews were total BS.

Aside from that info and the fact that the Imps apparently still have the Industrial strength to build them an SSD and enough SDs to impress people again, this book sucks and is worthless. I am investigating as to whether Walter Jon Williams is a pen name for KJA or not.

He's got a million of them. But I doubt it, he's been pretty busy on the Dune prequels. They're releasing the new Butlerian Jihad trilogy right now so I'd wager he's not behind Destiny's Way

I've actually enjoyed Destiny's Way so far... but I'm not that deep into the book (I've skimmed enough of it to know most of the relevant details and plot, though.)
