What are you talking about? I hope you're not referring (?spelling?) to your avatar, which to me is an Acclamator assault ship with its sixteen thousand odd clonetroopers aboard.

But Avatar Class Star Destroyer? :?:

Hard to tell, with some of the people who come to the forums.

He's using "Avatar" in the phrase "Avatar-class" as a placeholder for whatever the real name is, since he doesn't know it. Pretty obvious from the fact that he wants to know what class of Star Destroyer is in his avatar.

It's an Acclamator-class transport ship from Attack of the Clones, not a Star Destroyer.

ship class.

I thought it might be a Victory class, or perhaps it's conjectural predecessor, whatever that might be.

Well, in Homeworld there's a ship called an Avatar-class Heavy Cruiser.

There's one in Galactic Civilizations, too.

Its not truly idiotic, but you have to admit, for being a member of this particular board, made up largely of Star Wars fans, not being able to Recognize an Acclamator class transport, a Transport seen on screen during AoTC, is rather disturbing...

Probably a homage to "Homeworld".

The original Galactiv Civilizsations predates Homeworld by quite a while, although I'm not sure if the Avatar was in that version.

Then the Avatar-class in GW is a homage to "Galactic Civilizations".

Or it simply is named thusly because Avatar implies the incarnation of some sort of deity.

Just because one thing is released before another doesn't nessisarily mean that it was based on or inspired by the preceding item.

Bullshit, going about with anything or doing anything, or saying anything, that you don't understand and haven't the foggiest as to what it means is inherently idiotic.

For reference, see what happened in the "flame war as a result of an inappropriate joke" thread in the HOS when you said something without understaqnding the full ramifications of it.

It's basically the very definition of "poser" or "geek".

Let's stop bashing him shall we? Jeez, he didn't know it was called an Acclamator, what a crime.
