Kucinich?

Post by Chardok »

I heard this guy on NPR the other day, professing his stance on the war in iraq, quite honestly, I'd never heard of him until that interview. so I hopped on over to his site and *POOF* I may have found my candidate. I really like his views....has anyone else ever heard of him? Of particular interest, besides the main site, was this:

Decriminalization of Cannabis stance

Also:

Abortion rights

Main site:

http://www.kucinich.us/

I have found one gripe, though....he wants to cut pentagon "Overspending" this, I do not agree with....

Anyone else ever heard of this candidate?

His plan for Iraq consists of "run away crying and hope the UN doesn't make a complete clusterfuck of it". His fiscal policies, if implemented, would be downright ruinous--at least Dean wants to limit spending while he raises taxes. He wants a 15% cut in military spending in order to fund pork barrel social programs. His understanding of economics is--bluntly--limited, if he thinks that raising corporate taxes isn't going to end up hurting the working and middle class Americans for which he claims to have a raging hardon. He plans on turning the District of Columbia into an even bigger Federal budget leech (and 3 guranteed Democratic electoral votes every Presidential election) by granting it statehood. He wants to repeal NAFTA. He lives in a fantasyland where high paying, low skilled manufacturing jobs can suvive in an era where it's cheaper to ship goods across the Pacific than pay union wages to build them at home, and he's willing to wreck the economy and weaken the US's economic standing to try to prove it.

His only ideas that I do like are low-interest Federal loans to states and municipalties for infrastructure and of course, marijuana decriminalization. That's not enough to get me to vote for him, however.

You forgot the Dept of Peace...
Citizens across the United States are now uniting in a great cause to establish a Department of Peace, seeking nothing less than the transformation of our society, to make non-violence an organizing principle, to make war archaic through creating a paradigm shift in our culture for human development for economic and political justice and for violence control.
I needed a Paradigm shift ....

I didn't think hobbits could run for President. Does he have the One Ring?

I don't agree with a single one of his stances on any of the issues I looked at.

Dennis Kucinich represents the ultra-super-leftist wing of the Democratic party. It's not a coincidence that the Greens said they wouldn't run a presidential candidate if Kucinich were the Democratic nominee.

Not that it would matter, since Kucinich would go down to the worst popular-vote defeat EVER.

Kucinich's got a few good ideas, like decriminalizing marijuana and tuition free college, though he'll never be elected, because he looks like a hobbit. Oh, and I suppose he's too liberal for most Americans.

Bah . . .Kucinich has as much of a chance of getting elected President as an inanimate carbon rod.

This guy is a total loser. When they asked him if he ever smoked pot, after Dean and Kerry said,"Yeah,so what?" Kucinich says "no, but I wanted to". What a GREAT thing to say-making yourself sound like a rich preppie liberal(no insult to liberals, just Kucinich).

Any, I hate him because he essentially forces the rest of the democratic candidates to either go to his extreme or lose party support, or go to the moderate side and be seen as a follower of bushite policies. You should have seen him rant at this one fundraiser they showed on c-span(It was for a fundraiser from the education lobby) in order to recognize this happening.

Kucinich is kinda crazy but he's a nice guy. At least he doen't think he can really beat Dean.
Don't hate; appreciate!
