Ok, I jumped ship and went to IceWM a month ago. Nice, fine, easily customizable via text files and config tools. Seemed incomplete though, after all my KDE programs stopped working. Switched to XFCE and spent ages configuring stuff, no documentation. Also irritating is how xffm's font's are huge and no way to fix this. No way to integrate panel into taskbar. Spent ages figuring how to make help use Firebird instead of Mozilla, then figured I had to hack gdm scripts to set environment variables...
xfprint4 won't pipe stuff to lp/lpr- is extremly poor replacement for kprinter, since it's USELESS.
How can crayz put up with all these idiosyncracies?
Well, at least kmail->evolution switch went sort of smoothly.
