Our family has a very simple solution, the Christmas tree never gets taken down, we just move it to the storage room decorations and all and put a tarp over it to keep the dust off. When Christmas season comes around we just move it back to the living room and plug it in, a 5-10 minute job. Everything else is too much work so we don't do it.

Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either. :P

Decorating sucks!

And when I was decorating, I sure as hell didn't start on November 28! The very DAY after Thanksgiving. No no, we waited until December 24 to buy the tree then we took the next day or two to make it look nice.

I finished my Christmas decorating Monday. I have an all-Star Wars themed tree complete with action figured-scaled vehicles and figures, and under it I have the Clone Wars being fought. Outside I have an 8' inflatable Santa Homer.

My dorm's an itty bitty open double, might as well just squish me. No room or need for christmas decor.

Don't worry. They don't get any bigger.

I'm a bit of a maniac when it comes to Christmas decorating. I'm PSE&G's best friend this time of year.

Alfred threatened to quit if I ever tried to decorate the tree again.
Apparently little black bats baring their fangs do not proper christmas decoration make.
*shrugs*

Actually, no christmas deco at my place, but when I'm with the family on Christmas Eve, I somehow always wind up being the one who has to place the candles on the backside of the *@$%&! tree. Do I look needleproof or what?
Dunno if this counts.

As long as they're put up at a reasonable time i don't mind. In other words i don't like them put up before December (at the earliest!), this has gained me the "Official Scrooge" title on my corridor in Halls. :D

We won't set up our tree for at least another 2 weeks. But I enjoy decorating for Christmas, lots of fun.

I enjoy decorating for Halloween more though.

My family doesn't set up a Christmas Tree until a few days before Christmas, and for exterior decorating, we usually don't do much other than put some lights on the bushes. Why decorate ahead of time if it's just going to sit there for weeks?

Theer's no "I don't celebrate Christmas but every Christmas Eve my mother ahines at me until I decorate the house" option.

And yes, I am a grown up, now, but it doesn't help.

I set up a small tree with lights around the 21st of December so that my cat can enjoy her heart out on it.

::dances:; The tree's set up, the living room's decorated, and now I just have to start on the Xmas cards and gift-wrapping!

I *love* deocrating! If Nitram didn't stop me, I'd have the whole house Xmas-y!

Christmas shopping is fun. Christmas get-togethers are fun. But Christmas decorating is a bit of a pain in the ass.

We'll decorate a tree and put a bough on our door. Most of my family's efforts go into cooking delicious fattening meals for get-togethers with friends and relatives. I get to bake the Christmas themed cookies and we even made a gingerbread house last year...which was completely eaten in about 20 minutes.
