You mean the fact that Wong has it on his favorite movies of all time list means nothing to you?

Well the fact that everyone agrees TWOK is the best Trek movie and most of the warsies even agree that TWOK is a damned good movie in general DOES say something.

A lot of people also tell me that Evangelion is the best thing since sliced bread. It isn't.

WOK is far and away one of the best sci-fi films ever. Good acting, Great plot, Suburb action, and a powerful ending. You can say that about few films made today.

Really, the fact that WOK was so damn good is what makes me hate SFS all the more. It cut the balls off the greatest Trek movies by making Spock live. Come on.

It is also what is making be dread Nemisis. It looks like it is trying it's damndest to copy WOK, but based on the script the writers are not up to it.

You can't have a debate over subjective taste. You've made your point insofar as demonstrating that one need not be a rabid Trekkie to enjoy many of the Trek films (especially the Nick Meyer ones; Nick Meyer is the Trek god), but you can't tell a person who hates those same films that he's wrong. Subjective taste allows him to say that any film on Earth "sucks" in his eyes, and he will be completely correct.

Hm the original Macross (aka Robotech part 1?) was the best thing since sliced bread. I still try to understand what's so great about Evangelion.

Just for the sake of clarification: Robotech is not Macross. Robotech is the completely bastardised version of Super Dimension Fortress Macross which most Macross fans despise with a passion.

Sorry - probably not a good way of introducing myself to this community but it had to be pointed out.

Well so far i still thinks ST 6 is the best of all Trek movies. Wrath of Khan is very interesting and First Contact was somewhat different but i liked it, even thought it was not the best but one of the better of Trek movies.

"He tasks me! He tasks me!" <----- best line.

Also Kirstie Alley shouldn't have played a Vulcan. I'm sorry I know her better from Cheers as a whiney form of comedy. Also he name of Saavik... kinda weird and too hard for a girl. Plus acting as a Vulcan isn't that impressive, just stand there and retort logic while making sure the glue on the ears holds up. WOK is a franchise film so its probably better to the fans than to the casual observer. Considering WOK competition for best Trek film, I can see why its on top.

I can't watch, yet I fear to turn away. Though I sincerely doubt that B&B could fuck up Star Trek worse then they have.
