Are the special editions of the OT canon?

Specifically in reference to Greedo-Shooting-First. Is that officially how it happened now?

Unfortunately historical revisionism in the SW universe actualy changes history when it is done by GL himself.

Well the Special Editions WERE Theatrical Versions so the appropriate term would be that the SE overrides the Original Release Version.
