Star Trek:Borg (computer game)

Post by Shrykull »

Anyone remember this game which came out around Christmas of 96. What did you think of it?

I thought it wasn't too bad other than the freakin technical problems I went through with it and windows 95 (we had just gotten a new computer that year) I can't remember how I eventually got it work, I remember finishing the game, but I had to call technical support for it, where they blamed IBM (I had an Aptiva) and when I called IBM they blamed Simon and Schuster who made it, one of them didn't want to admit they were wrong.

Anyway, it had some cool scenes, there was one where you could be a borg drone and kill the entire crew of the ship, or contact your drone buddy and have him kill them, and your fellow drone even shoots Q, where the energy just shimmers on his chest and he pretends to be in pain.

I remember a review of it which basically said that it was rubbish, all except for having a novel way of handling game-death, by having Q come and rewind you a bit.
