International Terrorist..

Post by Trytostaydead »

I was at home this weekend and found a TIME magazine in the crapper and it's cover article was about how America was extremely polarized over Bush. One of the pictures was from when Bush visited Riverside, California and there were young people standing in the streets holding signs that read, "International Terrorist" bordering around a picture of George Bush (if you have the issues, check out the contrasting picture.. kind of funny).

Granted, the reasons for the war are kind of iffy if you're not satisfied with just the deposing of Saddam.. but I don't understand why young Americans will go out into the streets and scream at the top of their lungs that Bush is an international terrorist. Why aren't they also holding signs of Saddam Hussein or Osama Bin Laden? Or any of the hijackers from 9/11? It's their constitutional right of course to protest.. but aren't they asking for the head of the wrong person?

Because young teenagers are assholes. Maybe they're ignorant of what OBL or Saddam have done, or perhaps they don't think they can influence them in any way, so they go after Bush, who, let's face it, is hardly above criticism.

I'd rather say that it is a question fo 'who cares'.

If someone would go around with OBL on a sign with the text 'terrorist' everyone would go: 'who cares'. Because it is common knowledge and consensus.
But, if you go with a sign that says Bush is terrorist then you would get reactions, and lets face it what is the point of carrying that sign if you don't get attention?

Because they believe it's true and they believe they need to get the word out.

For the same reasons that nobody runs around holding up big signs saying that the sky is blue.
