USS Iowa vs USS Constitution

Post by LordShaithis »

Where'd the recent Constitution obsession around here come from?
If Religion and Politics were characters on a soap opera, Religion would be the one that goes insane with jealousy over Politics' intimate relationship with Reality, and secretly murder Politics in the night, skin the corpse, and run around its apartment wearing the skin like a cape shouting "My votes now! All votes for me! Wheeee!" -- Lagmonster

It came from... outar space.
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

Hardly even sporting. *Prepares to go hunting in Africa with a 12 pounder field gun*

And we can blame Stormbringer for obsessing over Master and Commander

You see, "C" is a bigger letter than "B", 5 > 4 and Constitution has more letters and syllables than Iowa, in addition to being older. Obviously, it must win.
And we can blame Stormbringer for obsessing over Master and Commander
Hell no.

This isn't even fair. The Iowa has absolutely no way to even attempt to hit a target that's in orbit. :D

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he meant Old Ironsides, not the first ship of the ST Constitution class.

If she was rearmed with the HARP modified 16-inch gun and a new discarding sabot round that might not be the case.

Even Lexington and Saratoga's 8 inch guns as originally built would have outclassed poor BB-4. They would have outranged her and had killing penetration.
