Looking for a naval game ...

Post by Bob McDob »

I saw a trailer of it at Software Etc. a few monthes ago. From what I can tell, it's like a flight sim, except first person. And you drive a battleship. And apparently you can customize the battleship with guided missiles, and there's this crazy HUD. It looks cool. I want it.

Anyone know what it's called?
That's the wrong way to tickle Mary, that's the wrong way to kiss!
Don't you know that, over here lad, they like it best like this!
Hooray, pour les français! Farewell, Angleterre!
We didn't know how to tickle Mary, but we learnt how, over there!

Just find and play Hostile Waters. Its much better. I do know the one you're talking about though, but damned if I can think of the name.

Are you perhaps talking about 'Naval Ops: Warship Gunner'? That would fit the crazy description what with the ridiculously huge guns, lasers, guided missiles, nukes, etc. you can stick on your ships (which are customizable)

This ring any bells;

If so, its Naval ops. Naval Gunner
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red
