And you try telling the young people of today that, and they accuse of stealing Monty Python jokes and generally being quite, quite mad.

Depends, if by them you mean people who were handed money on a plate for little work, then for the most part, no, my friends consistently had far more money than me as an allowance, sometimes pushing upwards of 100 pounds a month and still having parents buying own stuff, and I worked my ass of in a pub washing dishes for crap pay and no appreciation for 2 years (part time), so I have both an appreciation of money and the knowledge that whilst I was occassionally spoiled, it wasnt regular enough to produce spoiled brat psychosis. (not that any of my mates are spoiled brats, mind you) :)

However, if you meant that I was one of those oddballs who roam the streets quoting Monty Python at passing strangers, rambling about Moose and with a rather low serious postcount/bizarre post count ratio, then yep, that's me. :)

A dollar piece per tooth. The nice big Eisenhower ones, not those ugly little SBA's. I kept them in a piggy bank until I lost my last tooth, after which all my money was stolen.

Wait, are you getting general anesthesia? I just got a bit of gas and was wide awake through the whole thing. I just had to wait a little while in the chair until I was steady enough to get home.

Are you serious? £100 a month? That's almost $200. Damn, I was jealous of the kids who got $10 a month.

1 dollar American. I always felt a little embarassed about it, because my parents would walways make such a big deal out of it. I mean, anyone can just let their teeth fall out naturally.

Except Admiral Valdemar, apparently. :P

Like I said, I had to have all my baby teeth pulled...8 of them pulled all at once one time... And with roots |-------| that long, it hurt like a bitch...despite the novacain. Then I had four more teeth pulled to make room for braces.
