Grey hair at 20

Post by Stofsk »

I woke up today and pulled out my second grey hair. I'm 21. My first grey hair was when I was 20.

Please excuse me while I write "What the fuck?"

I now feel old. :? When did other people start getting greys? Somehow, I think I'm a bit too young to be getting this shit. :?

 Yowsa. What the hell causes grey hair that it should show up in a 14 year old? I always imagined it would be stress. :?

I had a patch of grey hair when I was 16, a good clump of 20 or so, seems to have disappeared for the moment, but my mum was grey by the time she was 25, so I'm expecting the same to happen to me. Not that I'm particularly adverse to that, might be kind of fun. :)

I get a gray hair once in a while, probably from stress. I knew someone that was going gray in hs and a friend who was starting to go grey in middleschool.

My g/f constantly points out mine. Apparently I have quite a few at the temples and a few others scattered. And I'm only 21 as well...

I'm too young!

Don't complain about gray hairs. You could be bald already.

I've got flecks of grey. It hurts nothing but your vanity.

Makes me remember: I had a friend in college days whose hair is completely white. He was 19 at that time and no, he wasn't albino.

Everybody has one or two gray hairs. You start to worry when the number hits and surpasses the teens. Me, I expect to be gray by the time I'm thirty, due to lousy genetics. But, it looks like I'll have a full head of luxuriant silver hair.

I had grey hairs starting in when I was 14. My hair is now salt and pepper (though still mostly pepper) at age 34. That truly never bothered me. What bothers me is that my hairline is receding, and the hair in front noticeably thinning. It's not really that thin yet, but it's definitely going. If grey is all you have to worry about, do not trouble yourself. Seeing it turn grey is infinitely better than seeing it turn loose.

That sucks, I've already been pulling a few in the last roughly 3 years or so, they show up once in a while, every few months or so it seems. Granted if I got one now I wouldn't be able to tell, my hair's been bleached for a few months now, and I just dyed it blue, doubt I could find any now.

I am so far lucky with the baldness, despite the gene for it jumping a generation on my mom's side, my grandfather is fairly bald, but he's 85. I already have a small baldspot, but it's where some fuckwit at a summer camp cold-cocked me with a rock while I was asleep. (i was a harmless target, down for a week prior with a 104+ fever and ended up in the hospital upon returning to civilization a week later, should have been sooner, but the camp director was an ass and didn't want to make a 14-hour trip...)

Im 32 and I might have a few. I dont pay close enough attention to my hair. A boss of mine once joked the only time I come my hair is on review day. :-)

Anyway, Ive noticed my Chinese friends get really paranoid about white hair. I know the color white has some strong connotations to them, its kinda funny to watch my buddy fuss in the mirror.

I still don't have a single grey hair at age 24, and it's not thinning out either. I do seem to shed a fair number of hairs on my pillow but that's been going on for as long as I can remember. Going by genetics I do have a fair chance of going bald though, there's a history of baldness on my mom's side of the family, and according to most people who know me I resemble my mom more than my dad.

I've known many people who started getting grey hairs very early. All of them normally had very dark hair. Now whether that just made the grey easier to spot or if people with dark hair are more likely to go grey sooner.

I really wouldn't mind too much if I go grey I just hope I don't end up with that sickly greasy yellow grey.

Just say you're going blonde, that's what my Dad has been saying since I was born (he was black until that day then started going grey).

My dog is also getting a grey beard and he's frikking five! Genetic freak of a hound.

Just looked in the mirror, and at 37 i did`nt find any grey hair, maybe it has to do with the fact that i look about 15 years younger :?

A friend of mine has had salt and pepper hair since he was in high school. Not even stress related it's just something he inherited from his dad.

The great thing about being a Borg fan is once your hair starts going grey, just shave it off and slap on some implants.

Yep, bald on top furry everywhere else. I've know a couple of guys who were basically in that boat by their mid twenties.

My dad got his first grey hair at 18. It's nothing to worry about.

Now if you find at 20 your hair is falling out, you lose bladder and bowel control, and are unable to obtain an erection, then there's cause to panic.
