Alien Quadrilogy DVD!
I just got this yesterday! Fuck!! I havent been on the internet for almost 48 hours because i've spent almost every waking hour watching this 9-disk collection--over 50 fucking hours of bonus material.
Excellent, excellent stuff--rare on-set footage, interviews, outtakes, deleted scenes, multi-angles, storyboards, scripts, photos, screen tests, effects footage, commentary tracks...the list goes on. And each film is presented in both the theatrical versions and the special director/extended cuts.
I just got through the Alien 3 Workprint version, and while i have a version of the bootleg of this already, watching it with all of the scenes edited in--some of them never seen anywhere--complete with completed special effects, music and sound, it really creates a totally different film. Some stuff i preferred the theatrical cuts--the new Ox-burster isnt quite as effective as the dog-burster in the original--but it is an immensly richer film. I have always loved it and its great to see it get the treatment it deserves.
Anyway, everyone who loves sci fi, DVD and the Alien series will defintily have to check this set out--it truely is the most extensive DVD set ever made.

That's only $10 USD less than the US price, so it's not so bad.
At least you got screwed in the taxes department. I can get it for $78.70 USD, with 5% sales tax.

Oh, what am I saying? If I get a PayPal account, my entire income is gone. I'll just have my dad order stuff for me, and I pay him.

Perhaps so that he can mooch on us to order it on his behalf.
But considering the HobbyLink Japan debacle, that'll be a long time coming...

DP, I thought you were like 19 years old...was I mistaken?
Oh, and to keep this from being completely off-topic, I'm kind of bummed that I'm going to eventually buy this just for Alien and Aliens, since I thought that Alien³ and Alien Resurrection sucked. But buy it I will.

And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

If you already have it and bought other variations of it, your problem. I waited until they had a set like this, just like I'll wait for the Star Wars DVD set and how I waited for an Indy DVD set etc.MKSheppard wrote:Uhm, why the fuck should I care? I already own the Aliens Quadrulogy

The ones getting ripped off here are those that already bought a set prior to this one and want the new version now.
