Yup, I'm Losing my Mind...
I went out for lunch today with my buddies today and I ended up having a couple drinks. Which was nothing out of the ordinary until I got home and was overcome by a sudden urge to be one with my bed. Which led to me dreaming about the damn equations in Durandal's and Kuroneko's sigs. Yup, I was dreaming about solving calculus equations in my sleep, and incredibly enough not only did I correctly solve them, I also came up with some interesting new derivations which would revolutionize the world of mathematics. And so there I was, scribbling away on a sheet of paper and filling it with a bunch of equations and notations, knowing that I had overcome my lifelong fear of math and confident in my new found abilities.
And so I continued to write out complex proofs for what seemed like days, filling countless pages with numbers. And then I woke up. And realized that I must be going mad if I'm dreaming about calculus in my sleep. I mean in real life I can do basic differentiation and I can't integrate for shit. I think someone put something in my beer at lunch. Goddamn, this dream was disturbing, I mean who the hell dreams about calculus? I need another beer.

aerius: I'll vote for you if you sleep with me.
Lusankya: Deal!
Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either.

You must give up your biking ways! The way that leads to math is now your only option!Shinova wrote:You are the reincarnation of Newton. Accept it! The Math gods command you!!!

Ah, no. Calculus has cost me more headaches and hours of lost sleep than all the rest of my subjects put together. Calculus ranks somewhere around being kicked in the nuts on my list of things to embrace.phongn wrote:You know you want the calculus. Embrace it!
Sure, so why can't I solve d/dx for y=(4ln2x)/(e^2x + 2)?Shinova wrote:You are the reincarnation of Newton. Accept it! The Math gods command you!!!
I'm not sure, but dreaming about calculus can't be healthy unless you're a mathematician or physicist.Nova Andromeda wrote:--Wait a sec. Dreaming of math is a sign of insanity?!? Why didn't someone tell me this a long time ago!
Neither have I, too bad I can't remember a single equation from the dream. If I could somehow translate half that dream to reality I'd be a candidate for a Nobel prize.Andrew J. wrote:That's interesting. I've never had a dream where I could solve math problems I couldn't before...

That reminds me of an occassion when some people asked me for help on some math proof back in high school. The difference is, after I woke up from the dream in which I correctly solved that proof, I wrote down the correct solution and showed it to them that day. Needless to say, when I told them I had figured it out in my sleep, I got some really weird looks.
Never mistake temptation for oppurtunity.
