As for my favourite carol, does it have to be the kind you sing in a group? 'Cause I used to do a solo of "What Child is This?" when I would go caroling that isn't your typical, upbeat group tune, but just me by myself (me a cappella, if you will ).

Is this something you came up with alone, or is it from somewhere else? I've never heard this before...

If that doesn't count, then I think my favourite carol would have to be..I don't know. "Silent Night," maybe? I honestly don't mind the godifulness of the songs if they're pretty. I'm such a music whore.

OH! And "Ave Maria," if that counts.

Ave Maria...It's familiar, but can't remember hearing it...

Anyhow, O Holy Night and Silent Night for me. I've only ever heard Carol of the Bells in an instrumental version, which sounds good to me. I've heard of the TSO version out there but never heard it, and have yet to hear a choir version (or, to be more proper, a capella ). I do have a cool instrumental version from a CD called "Enchanted Christmas" of CotB, that's like a harp playing it with some backup.
