"The Affront". Hmm... Cultureverse? Ah, gas bags make nice targets.
And human heads make nice wall decorations.

Grid-beam projectors:

They take a small bit of the grid and contain to produce a very, very lethal weapon (think something like the minbari beam weapons scaled up to insane levels). Excellent against hulls and a bit weaker against sheilds.

Plasma displacers:

Standard shipboard weapon, essentially a turbolaser like bolt except it's materialised right on target.

HAM/CAM missle Launchers:

These are the standard tactical shipboard missles. They're acronyms for Hypering Anti-Matter Missle and the Coventional Anti-matter Missle.

Displacers:

Like transporters except they work.

I know you're not insulting me. I did play an hard line power in the last one, we both did. I just don't want myself to be confused with that of my nations.

Sotmrbringer, any objection to HAB being the first to find the Affront?

I'd like to know about the Senshi. Seeing as I wasn't in the 1st STGOD, I really don't know anything about the SKS, besides what little I've gleaned from the conversations in game so far.

What would bee common knowledge about them? What are the Senshi? What is a little of the history of the SKS?

I'm just curious Thirdfain, but exactly what is it you're reconstructing the Imperial Navy with? All it's combatants were destroyed in one manner or another in the war and the yards at Valeth were smashed to bits.

I assume you're rebuilding it with some cheap bulk units?

On the contrary, the reserve squadron ended up surrenduring (the one with the life taker-class command ship, and ytou have numerous warships in mothball. (It says so in your own OOB.)

I specifically stated that all the forces would fight to the death, none of them would have surrended. And I presume you mean the Executioner command ship, for which that goes doubly since the crew was hand picked to be both efficient and highly loyal.

And the mothballed ships, yeah they're there but they're hardly front line equipement (being mostly ships centuries past their prime) and almost exclusively lighter vessels.

You can more or less move in and burn and stuff, but keep in mind there will be massive losses; the defenders will fight to the last man, and have technical parity with you all.

He can't be talking about the Executioner. I specifically stated that my entire fleet concentraited it's fire power and destroyed the Emperor's flagship.

I know that (and purely because none of my forces surrendered), what I'm wondering is what command ship he's talking about and I assumed he meant the only command ship I had.

Life taker-class

Hull size: 3.1 km
Sensor range: 320 LY (4 LS targetting)
Engines: Magentically directed Ion thrust engines
Sheilds: 39 TT/sec

Armament: 8 heavy missles per broadside
82 Energy Lances (turretted)
1000 + PD lances

The Life-takers are an older class of battleship that has been all but retired. In fact only one remains in active service and few other exist among the fleet's boneyards. Her ion engines while offering superior performance are never the less very mass intensive meaning the ship is very slow compared to the newer capitol ships. But despite growing a little long in the tooth the Life taker-class is still a formidable opponent.
emphasis added- you have mothballed ships. It is unreasonable to assume that your men were able to go out and destroy EVERY SINGLE peice of equipment.
