Clark Seeks Clinton As Running Mate
Manic Progressive: A liberal who violently swings from anger at politicos to despondency over them.
Out Of Context theatre: Ron Paul has repeatedly said he's not a racist. - Destructinator XIII on why Ron Paul isn't racist.

Well, that should add a couple of points to his abysmal polls. Other than that. As a member of the VRWC, I see it as a death nail in Clarks run. Shrillary is WAY to POLARIZING. Those who love her, love her and those who don't would rather clean all of the toilets in Grand Central Station with their tounge Weird Al TM than vote for her.
Any chance of Clark being seen as the moderate would go out the window with Hillary. Of course, IMHO.

They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong
But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

Publicity stunt. Hillary will never accept the vice-presidential nomination. She's not about to play second bananna to Wesley Clark. Besides, being VPOTUS is more often a way to kill a political career than it is a stepping stone to the presidency.

Clark can't be serious about the whole president thing if he'd even consider having someone so openly hated by such large chunk of the country as his running mate.

Hillary's dangerous because a good, clean run against a poor Republican candidate (not necessarily GWB, and not necessarily in '04) would almost assuredly find her in good stead with the country's women, many of whom openly sympathize with her personal plight.
Hillary maybe hated, but she did win New York ...

It's absolutely a publicity stunt, he was asked about it by Ted Koppel, His reply was something like "No, I've never thought about it"
Ted Koppel: Oh sure you have, come on.
And she is too polarizing, IMHO, (Sorry bout the me too) I happen to like her, if for no other reason than she is an absolute political MONSTER. You cannot deny that shrillary has a very strong public Presence (ala stage presence), and she KNOWS how to work the voters. IMHO, it was her who made Bill the political powerhouse he was while In office.

Yeah, she got elected by NY. But now, most everyone in the state hates her and she won't be re-elected.

Don't count on it. For statewide election purposes, you can consider New York State to consist of New York City and Everywhere Else, and New York City will vote Democrat no matter who's running, which means only a few Democrats have to vote in Everywhere Else to give her the election. The only reason you have Pataki is because everyone was sick and tired of Cuomo.StormTrooperTR889 wrote:Yeah, she got elected by NY. What is the right's problem with Hillary Clinton anyway? Like, I read paranoid shit about how she's a communist from all those fucked up right wing "new world order" sites but what's the beef?

I think it would have been much more interesting had Clark asked the OTHER Clintion to be his running mate. Something tells me that there is still alot of support for Bill around.
Devolution is quite as natural as evolution, and may be just as pleasing, or even a good deal more pleasing, to God. If the average man is made in God's image, then a man such as Beethoven or Aristotle is plainly superior to God, and so God may be jealous of him, and eager to see his superiority perish with his bodily frame.

It would be unconstitutional however, you can’t be president for more then ten years, and since Bill has already run through eight of those he couldn’t be VP at the start of a four year term, least the sitting president die and he become president and run over the limit.BlkbrryTheGreat wrote:I think it would have been much more interesting had Clark asked the OTHER Clintion to be his running mate. I might still look at Clark but he's going to have to pull something extrordianary out of his ass before I vote for him if Hillary is his running mate. I liked her the first time Clinton ran but she shot that to shit during her Health Care fiasco. Plus, she shouldn't even be a senator unless it was a Senator from Arkansas.Knife wrote:Any chance of Clark being seen as the moderate would go out the window with Hillary. Of course, IMHO.

Not that I'm part of the right but my problem with her is my perception that even more than most politicians she thinks she is smarter than everyone else and must tell all those people less intelligent than her what they should do.
This is opinion was mostly formed when she was working on healthcare but shortly after the Clinton's first election I thought she was very full of herself. She wasn't the only one but I went from liking her and seeing her as a bonus for getting Clinton to really despising her. Running for Senator in New York didn't win her any points with me either since that is clearly a move soley to get power and nothing more.
