NEW YORK, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Revising its year-end economic forecast sharply upward, The Conference Board today projected that real GDP growth will hit 5.7% next year, making 2004 the best year economically in the last 20 years.
The forecast, by Conference Board Chief Economist Gail Fosler, expects worker productivity, which set a 20-year record in the third quarter, to rise at a healthy 3.6% next year. That would follow a gain of 4.3% this year.
I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.
Is this based on percent increase or comparison to past good years? After all, one could have had a mediocre year in the middle of the Great Depression and still had insane growth numbers.

Sudden power is apt to be insolent, sudden liberty saucy; that behaves best which has grown gradually.

What has this to do with Liberals?!? All he asked for was clarification of data, statistics are notorious political tools (The Barna research poll on Atheists and Divorce Rates, as well as a certain experiment conducted with Rhesus monkeys and marijuana)...

It would be nice if it happens(or even simply if the projection is grounded in reality) but I'm not holding my breath.

Sadly, even if this comes to fruition it won't include California. We are forecast not to recovery at any substantial rate for several years. Arnold is in for a rough time.

In any case, if the USA's planned global mind-control network will work like it's supposed to, by 2004 we will believe that the economy's better than before, no matter the actual situation.

If Religion and Politics were characters on a soap opera, Religion would be the one that goes insane with jealousy over Politics' intimate relationship with Reality, and secretly murder Politics in the night, skin the corpse, and run around its apartment wearing the skin like a cape shouting "My votes now! Me too. Your fucked up economy is hurting Canada's.
And it doesn't matter how bad your economy is, Bush is still going to get elected. There are too many dumb people in the stares who think he killed Osama, and that Hussien had anything to do with 9-11.

Don't forget that global mind-control network they'll have ready for activation in the spring of 2004.

Uh huh, care to at least explain why/how?

I think there's a very real possibility that we did kill Osama back in
2001, with a very very big LGB right on top of his cave.
His recent taped appearances have been...unconvincing

So have Bush's, for that matter.

Osama's tapes have been up to date with current events, I hear- and all reports have said it's "probably him". And really, the US is too incompetent to kill him. Or anyone remotely consequential, for that matter.

Current events, such as? And are they actual video of the guy standing
with a Krinkov, or just audio tapes? Voices can be faked.

Ah, then explain why we haven't seen Saddam at all? We've been slowly rounding up everyone in his government but the Big Man is no where
to be seen at all, except on audio tapes. Maybe we DID get him in that
opening volley.

Ah, sort of like Uday and Qusay really escaped their American attackers
through the night and didn't die in a hail of TOW fire?

Do I really have to explain this to you? That's sad.
Simply put, the Canada U.S. trade relationship is the single most important trade relationship in the world. The US buys more Canadian goods than anyother nation and Canada buy more american goods than any other nation. In some fields resources / parts actually cross the border several times before the finished product is made.

Is it just me or was this post made less than a day before we got Saddam?

Care to have a discussion about what consequence Saddam Hussein was of, sitting in a hole in Podunk, Iraq?
