Something odd has been happening to my computer lately.
If I try and install and a game, it says things like "Not enough disk space, or bad sectors" But, I had at least 4.5gigs, and even after I delete another gig, it still comes up with the error.
Today I tried to save a game I was playing, but it said "disk is full" even though I have 5gigs free.
Any suggestions?
Strange thing with my computer.

You did a disk scan yet? It could be bad sectors.........
the other problem could be mine. I had a virus infect my hard disk once, it filled up all the HD space. When I finally noticed it and tried to solve the problem, the disk finally went kaput and died.

I think it's bad sectors also, but ScanDisk never actually finishes scanning.
It starts scanning, and gets to a certain point, but then it starts again, and after a couple of tries it comes up with the error that another programme is using the drive, even after I've closed everything else.
What exactly are seperate partitions?

Try using the enditall program to shut down anything that might be running in the background that you don't know about before doing that scan. You might also consider intentionally setting off a scandisk on boot by shutting down your computer without going to shutdown in the start menu. If it keeps restarting there, you've certainly got some problems on your hands.
