Isn't there something called a World Court? This could be used to avoid any issues of mistrial. As trials within a country could be partial to one side or another, hopefully an international court would be more fair.

Not to mention, a political victory for Bush with the UN.

Iraqi court would be better (at least intially). The Problem is that he should be dead, and the World Court doesn't grant life sentences. So such personalities like Slobodon Milosevic are going to live off the rest of their days recieving better food and medical than the populations of the home countries.

No, Saddam has to be done away with, and in such a way he's (a) reveal internationally for the monster he is and (b) so we don't make a martyr of him.

Oh, right, everyone in Iraq will be just so anxious to make sure he gets a fair trial...

Well, we can bring Kuwaitis and Iranians onboard for the "International side".

That said, if we can try our best to hold a fair trial for the Nazi Elite(tm) we can do it with Saddam.

"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

My fiancee woke me up with the news. Excellent work by the coalition forces. Glad they stuck it out, and I'm very glad he was taken alive. Good job, Mr. President.

Now we see if all that rhetoric about "Ba'athist dead-enders" is really true.

Nothing says those guys are going to give up and play dead simply because Saddam was captured. In fact I wouldn't be suprised if some of them start demanding his release. But it will take away a big part of their fight and hopefully dishearten them.

Of course there are then the Islamo-facists to worry about.

Maybe, maybe not. If nothing else this capture shows that we have to have patience for good things to happen.

Cool.

Now, give him a fair and just trial, find him not-guilty, and push him out into a mob of angry iraqi's

Or.

Find him guilty, put him up against the wall, and have a 'Fox's Deadly Executions' with him as the main event

No..

Strap him to a chair in the middle of a room and, after a hearty meal of Menudo and Chili, every one of the soldiers in the coalition forces gets to walk up to him, pull their pants down and blast a noxious fart right in his face.
