The kid had a long history of violence. I spoke to a teacher who had one student that grew up to be a murderer and is presently in prison. She told me that everyone in the school basically knew he was going to be a criminal someday; he was simply not being raised properly by his parents, and there was nothing they could do.
The fact is that a lot of people in this world simply shouldn't be parents. They raise monsters because they are monsters.

I wonder if these children can grasp the seriousness of their crimes. I wouldn't know how to handle this if I was a judge.

If parents will put a stop to Saturday morning cartoons that indulge in violent behaviour, we will come much closer to eradicating this kind of action on the part of children.
If we are ever to be a kinder and gentler world, then we need to avoid patronization of violent television. The advertisers will soon understand that we do not tolerate it.
Anyone else think that this is total bullshit?

See I can have just as much credibility as that guy in saying dumb things.

Considering that Saturday morning cartoons are non-existent on many channels now days, and that many modern cartooons suck. Yes, it is bullshit. Its not TV or games. Like Mike pointed out most of these violent kids are from dysfunctional homes.

yes i do, and the only reason they are saying that is cos the entire defense in that case was that the killers had just watched natural born killers.

Considering millions of kids watch such shows, yet only a few of them go out killing people, I'd say yes, it is BS.
I think that's pretty damn sick, but there's no real way to stop stuff like this from happening. As long as there is freedom of expression, people will express things that will drive others to horrible actions.

Yes, we all need to masturbate as much as possible. That would solve crime, pollution, and the energy crisis.
