Something obvious: Stewie (Family Guy) is Funny

Post by Defiant »

Just watched Family Guy, and I've come to the realization that Stewie is the funniest animated character I've ever seen. I mean, he's funny whenever he says anything at all. I don't think even Homer Simpson in the days of his glory could do that.

Any thoughts?
Chris: "Way to go dad, fight the machine"
Stewie: "How do you know about the machine?"

He's definitly way up there. Some of the best lines ever. That episode where he has the accepting, racially diverse family degenerate into a mob fighting over stereotypes springs to mind.

I loved the motel.

"You got the goods?"
"You got the money"
"You ain't gonna get the goods untill I see the money"
"You ain't gonna get the money till I see the goods"
Stewie: "Oh for gods sakes, there's only one way to end this thing. (shouts) He's Wearing a Wire!"
"You bastard!"

I have to agree. I don't know if it's what he's saying, or his accent, or the big words he uses to make a simple statement.

Maybe it's all three. I luv'im. ;)

Indian Kid: Stewie, would you like to learn how to wrap a turban?

Stewie: Well why don't you teach it to the chinese girl. Or perhaps you could teacher after her people invade your country

Indian Kid:*Gasp* Lee, would you really do this?!

Stewie: Well try and stop them. And try and stop Lee's countrmen from selling arms to Pablo's people, who will in turn sell them to Yuri's people so that they can ethnically cleanse the rest of this nauseatingly diverse grabbag of genetic party favors you call a family!

This page has the Stewie soundboard, if anyone's interested. Very funny stuff.
Note: I'm semi-retired from the board, so if you need something, please be patient.

Well, I'd love to stay and chat, but you're a total bitch.

You! Bring me a copy of the Wall Street Journal. You two, fight to the death!

*sniff sniff* I smell a messy diaper! ...God why does that turn me on?

Look at him! He runs like a Welshman! Doesn't he...doesn't he run like a Welshman?

Flappy, good news! I've decided not to kill you!

Yeah Stewie is up there, but he's no Homer in his prime.

"Hey hey hey, that word you keep calling me?"

"Ignoramus?"

"Yeah that, it means I'm stupid doesn't it."

"There is a difference between ignorance and stupidity."

"NOT TO ME THERE ISN'T!"

He is indeed great and the ep with the drug deal was on the other night on Sky One. But I still think Homer in his prime edges out ahead of him.

Come on guys, Homer is a totally different kind of character. I really don't think you can contrast a one year old baby with gender confusion, matricidal tendencies and delusions of world domination to a middle-aged, overweight, nuclear saftey inspector. They are just two different ball parks.

It's not so much that I want to kill Lois so much as...I want her not to be alive.

"The life of the wife is ended with the knife."

Quote from the episode where Stewie does a remake of "My Fair Lady"

That's pretty damn funny!
Chris: "Way to go dad, fight the machine"
Stewie: "How do you know about the machine?"

Stewie does have some excellent lines, like:

"I require a window seat and an in-flight Happy Meal. And no pickles. God help you if there are any pickles!"

"Let's get a kitty."

"For every sprinkle I find, I shall kill you."

"Apparently, he was good enough to die for our sins, but not good enough to sleep with green women."

"I feel so deliciously white-trash. Mommy, I want a mullet."

"Baby needs to suck ash. Baby needs to suck ash."

"Damn it to pus-spewing blood-gutted Hell!"

"Damn you, damn the broccoli and damn the Wright Brothers."

"I love this God fellow. He's so deliciously evil."

"I love crack. I'm simply cookoo for crack."

"Is English the only language you don't understand? I want pancakes! Yo quiero pancakes! Click Click Bloody Click Pancakes!"

"Oh my God! It's like Orson Wells' autopsy in there!"

"It's a bad day to be a sperm."

"Quick vision test. Is this a poopy or a Toblerone?"

Here's the line from Stewie that sold me on Family Guy:
