I just wanted to take a minute ...

Post by Shok Teenik »

... with New Year's Eve closing in on us and all, to tell you all wonderful people of the joy and mirth this site and its forums have brought into my life as a hopeless social outcast and a silent lurker here in the last twelve months.

now, I've always been one of those who like to go around wondering who would win in a fight between Aliens, Londo Mollari, Chewbacca and the walking mushrooms from Super Mario Bros, and to see people actually dedicating their scientific knowledge and razor-sharp skills of logic and verbal abuse to duke it out for my viewing pleasure, it just warms my heart and brings a tear in the corner of my eye. I could honestly spend hours reading through it all ... no wait, that's exactly what I'm doing, even right now.

in addition to keeping me entertained through the long, cold nights, this site has definitely increased my awareness a person, as well. now, for an example, whenever I watch television I find myself asking important questions like "Is Frasier considered canon in the Cheers universe?", "Are Beavis & Butthead and Daria taking place in the same timeline?" and "Is James Bond actually a series of replicant androids constructed by the British Secret Service in the fifties, and do the books take precedence over the films?" ah, to think I was once capable of viewing TV shows without giving a single thought to mind-boggling mysteries like these!

not only that, but I now use expressions like "Ad Hominem Fallacy", "Appeal to Ignorance" and "Concession Accepted" in casual, daily conversations with ordinary people. needless to say, this has led to the situation where most people don't really want to talk to me that much or even know me anymore, but hey! it's alright, 'cause I can just go back to my browser and read the newest barrage of paranoid Trekkie e-mails getting shot down by the surgical precision of logical counterarguments laced with witty insults or see a helpless newbie being viciously skinned alive for posting an old scenario for a VS. thread, and for a passing moment, everything is right in the world for me again.

truly, you guys are my heroes. I salute you.

and that's all I really wanted to say.

yeah.

no, you see, the scariest part is, it's all true.

I really _am_ reading the board right now.

Should we skin him alive, in honor of tradition? Not that I would be involved in the skinning, I'm too new. But ritualistis removal of skin from new members would have to be fun to watch.

Technically, I'm not sure how one goes about skinning newbies alive, since we don't actually have his physical body in confinement. But we can perform ritualistic mutilations via TGODs.

*Stomps on newbie's foot to get the festivities started*

When I read this and thought they were being serrious about being a lurking social outcast, I thought it was pretty sad.

But now that I'm suspecting it's a troll, I find it even more sad.

Oh well. Either way, it aint gonna change the size of my pecker. *goes back to other htings*

I've got a better idea!

Throw him into.......THE PIT!

*points to a pit with a few tons of charcoal brickets covering the bottom*

Let us start the SDN BBQ with this newbie!

/me ignites lightsaber and cuts off the newbie's legs at the knees and cuts off his hands

/me turns a few nobs and watches as lighter fluid sprays onto the charcoal

/me turns off the sprayers and tosses a lit torch into the pit

Now....INTO THE PIT!

While the newbie roasts, I'll run to the local supermarket to pick up some Corky's BBQ sauce! :P

*starts laughing maniacally while walking off*

Vertigo, few nitpicks.

 would probably be a better face than , unless you want to look mad about what you're doing.

They are "knobs", not nobs.

When I was skimming your post, my brain first interpreted "walking off" as "wanking off"...... made me do a double take.

Oh, and don't put him in the pit... let the Gnomes have him. We'll have fuunnnn...

You caught me in the middle of an edit. ;) On another board I post on, and  are reversed for some reason.

if that was for me, I assure you there's no need for you to tell me that. why, I often touch myself when I read about the Death Star penetrating the fleshy, wet insides of Vorlon Star Dreadnoughts with its long, hard, energetic shaft of light in orgastic explosions of pure extacy.

come on, admit it, you've all done it at some point!

Yeah, it's a troll. Sounds reminiscent of the Efitness ones, but I don't recall anyone trying to storm in with an agenda, as of recently. Sounds more like a loner dropping by for Shits 'N' Giggles, in that case.
