No they didn't. It was Charlton Heston who did out of spite of getting his ass kicked by both apes and cultists :D

I agree with the OP, the Road Warrior, where he just walks off. (And waterworld to a lesser extent, which was the road warrior on water being alot cheezier)

Also is "Way of the Gun" as they lie there dying, they tell God to fuck off, basically.

After hearing so much about the Boondock Saints I couldn't pass up buying it yesterday on DVD. I would like to confirm that the ending, does infact kick ass.

Best ending in an action movie: Terminator 3.

I can tell the movie is ending, and I think to myself: "Meh, it was okay. Damn, I wish the terminator theme had played somewhere." The nukes start to fall. Hmm, not too bad. Then I hear it. Real soft.

Dum dum dum da dum. Dum dum dum da dum. Holy shit, here it is! The T-850's blasted-off and partially crushed head is lying at the bottom of a river, and it's eye goes out.

Then the theme blasts over the speakers, a rich, orchestral rendition.

I'm speechless. That was the best part of the film. Awesome.

If I had seen T1 or T2 in theaters, I probably would have said one of them, but I didn't see them. Hearing Brad Fiedels track one more time, on the theatre's kick-ass sound system... woah.

The Ending to Jin-Roh is pretty messed up("And the wolf, ate Little Red Riding Hood up."), as is Gundam 0080. Just seeing Al break down as the full weight of everything he'd seen comes crashing down on him, and his friends, teachers, and family can't do a thing about it, because he's the only person who knows what happened.

Has to be Raiders of the Lost Ark.

They go through all that trouble to get the damned thing, and they lock it up in a humongous storage room where it will be "studied".

Hilarious!!!

All of Kurasawa's films qualify as semi-religious experienances.

Even "Leaves in August" where Richard Gere boinks the girl while helping her try to find her family after the war was over.

Snatch. It was a slick, slick turnaround for the Pikers, and even I never saw it coming until they opened fire on Brick-Top and his thugs.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I've always been partial to "blaze of glory" endings where death is assured, but you never actually see them die.

I haven't seen the movie since the late 70's early 80's so I wasn't up with the specifics. I just remembered that they blew up the Earth at the end.
