Sufnish Presumed Dead In Horrible Aquarium Tragedy

This has been going on since Tuesday, and I wouldn't even have heard about it if it hadn't been for a friend on IRC. Apparently the Denmark Aquarium building burst into flames for no apparent reason, which caused damage to the fishtank and killed off most of the fish, including the rare Mola mola. Unfortunately there was only one press release on the matter - and I checked the Islamic Republic of Iran news, dammit. Anyway, here's the link.

I know this sounds somewhat insensitive, but I find the idea of an Aquarium bursting into flames funny. Shame about most of those 4000 fish though.

It wasn't Denmark's Aquarium, outside Copenhagen, that burned but the Northsea Aquarium in Hirshals on the northwest coast of Jutland.

Chances are the fire may have started somewhere in the water heating system.
