Should anyone wish to smuggle anything into my worlds... you face a fully shielded planet, the only openings in the shields are openable by customs stations. And just about everything is subject to search. Your ships are bioscanned, if anything is found, it is searched by hand/tentacle
Anything out of line gets a lovely little interogation session.
Naturally, we dont import things like fish...

Alyrium, no one can prevent smuggling entirely, especially small and more or less harmless things. Absolute perfection can't be maintained, not on anything like a planetary scale. If nothing else some one is having a bad day at work and doesn't notice something.
I can.
The advantage of complete computer observation and control over the populace
And having your cities float in the atmosphere of a gas giant doesn't lend itself to smuggling, too

Of course it's possible in Big Brother state, but not anything that invovles actual sentient beings.

Again, the problem is getting some one to notice those viruses, unless all foriegn matter is routinely swept from ships all it takes is one bored worker.
All it takes is a fish tank on board and you've got them smuggled in.

Well, if your sentient beings are always completely integrated in a digital sphere, and live with more than one "mind", they're as happy as can be

that post was basically to remind stormbringer that i'm sending a diplomatic message. As for the scorched paint, you once said that a wild approach from one of your ships could scortch off a planet's atmosphere.

True, but I'm waiting for you to sort out where the hell you are sending it.
And I'm not going to have the Affront be so terrinly easy to find that they can be found in few hours in a single system. Sea Skimmer and Beowulf both sent out scouting missions which eventually found my ships, not just hopped into a system. I'll assume Alyrium simply got lucky.

Edge of the system. I followed my allies comm traffic.

Which system? You need to be a lot clearer and more informed in these things.

The one where your meeting the Aquarians. I assumed they'ed send a messag indicating that they'ed found you. And the KSN has pretty good access to the AU comms frequences via the grand alliance. The ship has been searching for a while now (I first dispatched it in the post about the superdreadnaughts.) and is scanning for any signs of your ships or comms traffic.

Well, you might want to work this out before you try every other possible explanation.
Of course there's now a battle so it's a rather moot point now.

Should I jump in and kick nitram's ass, work this mess out, or go back to sleep?

I was actually thinking that my ship sorta got lost on the way somewhere, however, I'm not actually all that far from you. Everyone else is trekking halfway across the galaxy at least. And you'd have to be foolish to believe that either the PRC or the HAB would let word of us meeting the Affront leak out so quickly.

I just edited my post about entering the system. Is that satisfactory?

Beowulf, how did you assume we are still there? I just had to drag that little corvette into my docking bay and begone. I didn't linger there for hours and wait for you to drop by.

Why the hell is everyone ignoring me? I edited my posts to make my appearance in the system more plausable.

It might take you a couple minutes to get the corvette into the docking bay. At takes me a couple minutes to get there from my space, as is apparently the speed set awhile back for the time it takes to get that short of a distance. (see the last time I had a skirmish near my borders with the TSC.) You just hadn't quite finished yet when I showed up.
And Alyrium? your corvette's shields were down. It's not alive anymore.
EDIT: furthur note: this was 1/20 of my fleet that just dropped a hammer on your ships.

Co-prosperity sphere is a trade organization. The Grand Alliance is the military one.
And I repeat, why the hell is everyone ignoring me?

A few meaning a couple, that's fine, I launched several thousand missiles at point blank range. You got hit with several hundred.

Beowulf, you can't jam an instantaneous, point-to-point connection. The ship is connected at alltimes with home, it was just a highspeed connection, to get the information through more quickly.
