What's that freeware partitioning software mike fobbed?

Post by MKSheppard »

I'm going to be using it today, and I don't feel like searching throught the
board's back archives to find it...

EDIT: Phong, when Mike comes on and mentions it, do you mind adding it
to the G&C FAQ?

Not sure if Mike ever mentioned it, but Ranish partition manager is pretty awesome.

Fdisk(linux one is better though) + fips for resizing. There's the zeleps partition resizer which is more user-friendly, but that appears have dissapeared of the net. Also, there is no free partition resizer for NTFS (thanks to NTFS being proprietary (which means I will never use NTFS(no problem since *doze isn't my main OS))) other than ntfsresize at http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/, but that needs to operate off of a linux boot disk (good luck finding one w/ it included).
