"I'm sorry sir---" countered the QM.

"The fuck you're sending us out with just a nine mil, and two boxes of ammo!
I KNOW you've got some heavy armament in there, give it to us!"

The entrance to the Armory is of course only a few feet from the Command Center. When they arrive in its main room, they are greeted by Ron, who is busy giving some handguns a quick final cleaning with a rag, and putting them into a trio of holsters laidout onto the Armory counter ((Shep instantly makes the note that they are Vault-Tec copies of the old Springfield Armory's Xtreme Defence .40S&S semi-auto handguns)). The holsters are part of a standard utility belt, containnig a small front pouch to hold flares, Stimpacks, and other items, and a clip on the left hip for a Pipboy.

"Hey guys, the Overseer said you'd come by for some equipment, so I went ahead and got it all ready. I hope you-" He's cut off by Mark's intimidating demands.

"Now waittaminnit, I'm just going by The Overseer's orders! Standard procedures you know."

Floyd will attempt to persuade Ron to give out some more equipment. Possibly offer the services of his current conquest. If he fails then he takes what he has and prepares to exit the vault.

It must have been pure chance more than what he said, but it sure kicked Ron into action.

"W-well, All I can do is tell the Overseer and let him know what you said. He's the one who has to change and fill out the orders for anything taken out of Supplies or here." Ron takes the data tape from Floyd and runs over to the Command Center. He's gone for less than minute.

He comes back and goes over to his terminal, popping the disk into the data port and loads up the checklist. "You guys got access to our riles and shotguns now." He unlocks the back room and step in, stepping back out with a pair of black long arms in hand. He sets them onto the counter. "This one's an M1 semi-auto, and here's a model 1300 pump-action shotgun. You can take those. Here, I'll get you your ammo to go with them." He pulls 2 boxes of ammo for each from under the counter.

Ron Shrugs. "Nope, no 12-gauge slugs. Not enough variety at this buffet, I'm afraid." He tires to chuckle and then gets a bit of a sheepish look on his face. "Hey, you guys do ok up there, ok? We could be the only survivors left, and there's not many of us as it is."

As they head back to the elvevator, Floyd pops the data tape into the port on his Pipboy, and gets a look at the local map:

Juding by the scale, Vault 60 is about 10 miles southwest of Iowa City's location. It wouldn't be more than a few hours walk unless the terrain was particularly harsh or impassible.

"Oh shit, I just thought of something, you two stay here I need to check something." Floyd will head back to the QM and see if they have any geiger counters. If they do hey will try to get one and some batteries for it. He will then head back up and suggest to the other PC's that they should check out Iowa City.

Shepperd checked the clip on his M-1 for the fourth time, loading it with a sharp click. He gave a big grn. "Right then. Let's get going."

Ron just shrugs and shakes his head at Floyd's request. "Nothing portable. For a place designed to be the last bastion of civilization for a thousand people, we're pretty understocked." You take his owrd for it and let it go.

They ride the elevator up to the topmost level and step out into the Vault's main hall. Standing in front of the first door are Carl and Ellen, the other two seceurity personell. They are carrying rifles over hteir shoulders, and have apparently been waiting for the group to arrive.

"Ready to leave?" Carl asks. He reaches over and turns a key in the Vault door control. The yellow door sirens predicably start wailing, as the pair of doors sqeak and slide open, revealing the last room of the Vault before the world outside. A massive cogwheel-shaped door marks the opposite end.

Carl give a quick nod in the direction of the room and the exit.
