"We will. But in the mean time, put the fleet on high alert. If they refuse, we will have no other way but to declare war. There is no way we will simply sit and watch as we are spat on!"

The Cruiser was still dancing through the failed attempts to corral it's progress, making huge, apparently artistic, sculptures of ejecta from the gas giant it raced around. When the missile volley came, however, the purpose of the massive sculptures of gas became clear. While PRC missiles were shielded against the odd particle of interstellar hydrogen, they were quickly overwhelmed when they tried to chase the big ship through it's charged and whipped up wake. Admiral Nims watched the feed from the stealthed fighters. The missile launch had worked well at disguising the fighter launches. Unfortunate that the salvo hadn't done any damage to the cruiser, but by the looks of things, his instinct was correct. Next time, he would get them.

At 1400 GST yesterday, a fleet of Cornerian warships ambushed and destroyed two vessels of the Aquarian and Stuartian militaries. The Cornerian vessels struck without warning, without a declaration of war, and did everything in their power to hide their actions.

Elements of the Commonwealth and Krytosian navy witnessed the event, and gathered the debris from the attack. It has been proven without a doubt that the attack was executed by a Cornerian task force.

The brutal, piratical actions of the Cornerians can not be ignored. They have murdered the crews of the vessels they destroyed, giving no quarter, and striking like cowards from hiding.

The Three Suns Commonwealth will take a stand. We call upon our allies in the Grand Alliance to join with us in solidarity.

Since the Cornerians commited what was essentially an act of piracy, we will treat them as pirates. The People's Republic of Corneria has one week to turn over the ships and crews of the task force they used to commit murder to the Grand Alliance, the ships to be impounded, and the crews to be interrogated and tried as pirates.

Additionally, they must pay reparations equal to 5 trillion CPS credits each to the Aquarian and Stuartian nations.

The Commonwealth stands ready to curb Cornerian agression and violence, and the whole of the Alliance stands with it.

The vessel destroyed by the Cornerians was the AUV(Aquarian Union Vessel) Sophacles. A heavily modified Marauder Corvette converted to an armed diplomatic courier. It was clad in the traditional red of a diplomatic vessel and had the accompanying sensor tags, and was heavily damaged by a Balck Star Alliance Gangster class cruiser, it was disabled and helpless.

The attack was cowardly and unprovoked, it was murder.

If the Cornerians do not turn over the task force to face justice in a fair court, we will go to the Grand Alliance for a formal declaration of war.

We can't help but notice that your vessel was so far removed from the scene that your sensor logs barely log the attacking vessels let alone their distinguishing characteristics. Hardly proof.

You would do well to remember that the Cornerians have a healthy export business in weapons. And given the sheer number of nations involved and the general confusion, the simple presence of cornerian weaponary isn't conclusive proof of anything.

Only a force from a major nation could have destroyed a Stuartian heavy cruiser and a modified Aquarian corvette. and the FTL signatures recorded by our ships indicated that the Black Alliance Gangster class vessel had jumped out and other ships had jumped in. We were unable to get a direct 100% match with PRC drive systems but we did get an 89% match with them, and a 0% match with drive systems from other nations.

Additionally, the sensors of the Krytosian vessel had little trouble picking up the numbr of drive signatures- seeing as the attacking Cornerian fleet included numerous heavy capital ships, their drive signatures were most clear. Observe- the signatures match almost exactly previously recorded drive signatures generated by a Cornerian strike task force.

No fiefdom in the region has even near that number of capital ships. No pirate groups, with the exception of the Black Alliance, fields a fleet near that large. Finally, no pirate groups field vessels with Cornerian drives!

Finally, observe this- Commonwealth clean-up crews detected the minor space-time distortion caused by the usage of ansibles. Add to that the presence of debris resulting from the detonation of literally thousands of Cornerian missiles, and it is clear who the culprits are.

You over estimate yourself severely. Those ships had all been engaged in battle with a Black Alliance warship and most had recieved a fair amount of battle damage so it's foolish to assume they were all fit to fight, indeed our VFP can confirm that all the ships took extensive damage in the fight.

Your signature matches are largely worthless. They're hardly clean matches, they were taken in the presence of a major battle and are distorted and contaminated. Our own analsys puts the likelihood of those tracks belonging to Cornerian vessels at a little over 12% and that's with better information of Cornerian vessels than your third hand information and it of course actually accounts for the battlefield distortion.

Above the recently colonized world of New Mecca, groups of OAN ships drifted like schools of durasteel fish, the light of the system's sun glinting dully off their light grey hulls. Aboard the recently mobilized ships, skeleton crews were bringing the warships fully online, while shuttles full of crewmen made their way to the reactivated vessels.

One patrol group, a unit of twenty Stygian corvettes, ranged around a Charon-class destroyer, made their way from the planet and it's attendant station and defence platforms. The small fleet hung in space for a moment, and then blasted forward into hyperspace.

We have identified to near 100% accuracy the authenticity of the Cornerian attack. When our corvette opened the jumpoint, it allowed our sensor web in hyperspace to see out into realspace. And we had a yperspace sensor very close to that location.

Cornerian weapons systems, cornerians shields, cornerian hull profiles and materials, cornerian drive emisions. This point with 98% accuracy to the cornerians. A large force would have had to capture a cornerian task force, and repair them with cornerian materials.

Also, the Corporation vessel was in constant contact with its own government, and their logs show that it took no damage from the Alliance cruiser.

All AU vessels are to remain on high alert. Vessels tht get te second transmission are to follow those orders

Second transmission. encoded, tight beam. Given to the Newest battlegroup(my new happy ISD/VSD carrack equivs) and 1/6th of my fleet).

You are to stand by in hyperspace, on the highest plane. You will be able to reach Azgerte territory in minutes if the order is given, while still being able to guard your sections of space.

Subject Cornerian attack

Our ship was destroyed after a short dipute with a Black Alliance ship, who departed before the attack. Before the connection with the Battlecruiser was cut off due to its destruction a large Cornerian fleet was picked up, but the ship could not react in time as it was engaged in the rescue of the damaged Aquarian ship.
You can see it for yourselves in the attached sensor profiles.
We demand a Cornerians appology and reparations.
Until further notice, all ships emerging not in designated transfer zones will be considered hostile, and destroyed. Any Cornerian ship will be detroyedf without further warning.

As security meassurement, Status Omega-Green was implemented.
Floating cities were lowering themselves as deep as possible in the atmosphere of their planets, activating their stealth systems. The Orbital Fortresses were put on high allert, and 80% of them remained under high alert on all times. 50% of the fighters in any system were always on active duty. The fleets were put on alternating high alert, too.

All ships were to emerge or appear in the transfer zones. The smaller fortresses and mine fields guarding them were on alternating high alert, as well.

No human order was needed for implementing it, it was a standing order within Milsphere, the Military's part of Datasphere, and executed on scanning a Cornerian ship, or any ship outside the Transfer zones.
