It's called Freespace 2: Colossus

What the hell is it? Is it an Exspansion for Freespace 2?

Scratch that. It's a demo of Freespace 2. Probably as close as i'll ever get to playing that game.

Freespace 2: Colossus is the biggest free demo of Freespace 2 they have ever done. Before Freespace 2 was released they offered two demo missions that never made it into the game. Freespace 2: Colossus is a demo taking several missions out of the game. Its an attempt to entice people into wanting the game while not giving them the whole thing.

You can download the source code, but not the artwork, models, missions, etc. You still need to buy the game in order to play it. The source code release simply made things like the Freespace 2 Linux port possible.

The license actually says you can copy it for friends, straight out of the box. So, I suggest you make some friends here:
