Splinter Cell

Post by Lord Poe »

I'm having a great time playing Splinter Cell. Anyone have any great stories or cool things they've done in the game? In the CIA section, I actually snuck AROUND a guard and exited a door on the opposite side of the room without him seeing me. Cool!

I had to do it at least once! It was so Ninja!

Hehe! One funny thing I did when I tripped an alarm was to crouch in front of the guardroom door so he couldn't open it! Kept slamming in his face! I wish SC gave you the ability to move trash cans and couches like the original Deus Ex. Then the bastard would have been trapped!

Well, on the CIA server room I did a running leap from the catwalks axe-handled a guy on the ground as I land, then I run, jump, jump off the wall and hang from the ledge just above where the next guys going to come through. He comes through and receives 80kgs of pissed off black-ops to the head...

In the CIA headquarters, while sneaking down a hallway, I came across a security window with a guard on the other side. I pied off the window with my superuber gun and caught the guy right between the eye's with an airfoil.

The *smack* was very gratifying.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

Why is it that Splinter Cell is so much fun?

Speaking of fun - overlapping auto-turrets, hacked so they're targetting everyone, followed by a noisemaker camera and a gas grenade into their killzone...

THAT is gratifying.

Just read a great idea on another forum. Use the sticky cams to shoot people in the head. It will knock them out, and you can pick up the camera again and use it!

This thread made me go buy it for my X-box after not being impressed with the PS2 port and I'm wondering what the hell was wrong with me then. I find it difficult to be sure, but only in the sense that it requires tactics I normally don't use (like not stealth-killing most folks) but it's challenging hard, not frustrating hard, so I keep going back to it.

Thank you all for making me rectify my mistake (the fact I got it for $18 helps to :D )
