You don't find any reference to any such organization. However, in some of the old elvish tounges "fael" means "ally" or "friend".
Are there any libraries, or preferably bookstores, in town? If so, I'm going to find whatever books they have on history, and as many other books that could help my effort.

There is a small bookstore, however it dosn't contain any books that you don't allready own. The shop keeper says that there is an old seer on the outskirts that might have more.

"Pleased to meet you Ix" as he shakes the old mage's hand

"Well, the town has been expanding beyond the limits that the forest, and the druids are willing to tolerate, and an outside ally of the druids has hired an army of very competant, well equipped Kobalds to take the town by force, unless a settlement is reached 70 hours from now... Naturally, I am the only trained diplomat in an adventuring arty that was huntng Kobalds in the woods, and the mayor is having difficulty believing me... I am not even sure a scrying spell would get him to take heed, and stop his foolishness. I may have to forcibly dimension door him out into the forest to see for himself..."

The old seer blinks.

Cat: *long drawn out whistle* "Are things really that bad?"

*there is a brief pause as you both try, and fail, to figure out how the cat can whistle, magic spell or no.*

Seer: "If it's that important, I would be happy to loan you my crystal ball. Are you allready trained in scrying?"

"Yes I am... It was one of the first spells I picked up when I was capable of casting spells of that magnitude, I just ccant really carry the focus with me while adventuring.

*sigh* Lets just say the Druid has command over numerous dire tigers, and the Kobalds are professional sodiers instead of the untrained rabble most people are used to dealing with."

Tsaroth shifted his stance a little

" I hope I dont have to take that stubborn man into the forest and make him face down the druids... Though it does have a certain appeal. "

"It was a pleasure to meet you Ix" Shaking the mans hand once again.

"I have business to attend to, like seeing if the towns walls will even hold up to a determined attacker... I will see you tomorrow?"

Cat: "Teleport" might be more fitting.
Seer: *glares at cat* "Anyway, best of luck." *he hands you the crystall ball*

"Thank you again...*taking the crystal ball* but yes, teleport would be more fitting... I will need to pick up that spell eventually... I will see you on the morrow, I will return this to you then"

The palisade is little more then logs nailed together. Small wooden platforms build behind it allow some guards to shoot over it, but for the most part it's impassible from both sides.

How well would it stand up to say... siege equipment, or being rammed by dire tigers?

Being rammed by dire tiger would result in dire tigers with concussion. But since the tigers are 20ft long, then jumping/climbing over it is a major danger.

It would withstart ballistas fairly well. But catapults, rocks thrown by ents, or anything on THAT scale would smash if after only a few hits.

What kind of defensive armament is available?
Bows or X-Bows?
Perhaps some light (anti)siege equipment?

Yep. They are very close to haveing a 1 in 1,000,000 chance of not dying.

(Griz says)"Hmm what kind of opposition do we have. Druids and their pets. An earth elemental or worse a nature elemental could easily ruin this settlements day. Kobolds often have a several socerers and adepts among their forces. We should try to find something out about our 'enemy'. Maybe we can cause some confusion among their ranks."

Tsaroth take one look at Griz..

"Does the phrase '20 foot long tiger' mean anything to you? druids are as powerful as any cleric, and their 'pets' are perfectly cabable of ripping this town apart. Those kobalds are professional soldiers, and doubtless have trained battlemages in their ranks. If the forest AND the Kobalds attack, we have no chance. We MAY be able to handle the Kobalds by themselves"

FYI, the druid that came with you wandered off on this own a little while ago, he was walking along the border between the clearing and the forest.

"Well a 20 foot tiger can be killed with massed arrow fire. The same thing can't be said about earth elementals. Out best chance is to trick the druids and kobold into fighting each other IF we want to defend this settlement."

"And that will not happen. Yes, we can kill those 20 foot cats with arrows, but ours were also enchanted, they did more damage, and we only killed one. These villagers, have mundane arrows, and dont have our skill with a bow. If you can think of a way to trick them into fighting each other if talks break down, be my guest."

Keenan was with Tsaroth in the office of the mayor.
HE walks for some time through the town thereafter, talking to people, and looking at the pallisade and stuff.
Remembering his stuff in the Inn, he walks to the Druid attached to them. "I'm not sure if you could help me, but in the Inn we departed, there's still my horse with some of my stuff. I'm not sure if the forrest would look kindly upon me if I went and fetched it. Is there a possibility for you to do it?"

Right, new plan of action then. We make it an exactly 1 in a million chance, then because of the laws of physics and adventuring the townspeople have to win!

Rightio, heading out to the seer, with my raven.

The druid shuts his eye's and seems to concentrate, there is a short pause.
"Done. I have contanced another druid, she will retrieve them for you."
Rightio, heading out to the seer, with my raven.
You see the seers shop, it's a run down old shack. You enter. There is dust everywhere, and the only object in the room is a table with 2 chairs, and a cat curled up and asleep.

Keenan slightly bows before the Druid. "Thank you very much. I appreciate it."
He walks back into the town. He looks for a Inn or tavern for something to eat. What possibilities are there?
