And it was about the same magnitude as the one in California this week. Only difference is ours was in the wilderness and theirs was in a large stone city.

It might improve our image among the common people there to send aid. It's not going to have much effect on overall relations between Iran and the United States.

I see two interperations for this series of events:

1. From Iran: This is Allah giving the smackdown to all the Iranians for being too secular and western. Repent!

2. From the U.S.: This is God giving the smackdown for not worshiping Jesus. Repent!

There is of course a third interperation, involving something about plate techtonics, but who cares about that one.

I almost think we should offer help from the National Guard troops in Iraq, who are probably more experienced with this sort of thing than fighting a war.
