Hey, you said wild, not intelligent/logical/rational/half-thought-out.

I think a better question is: how did you first hear of SB? For me, it was when Wong put up the "Wong is Wrong" essay.

The forums, aye. Though I'd been to SD.net before I knew about SB.

Actually it was Cyborg Stan who introduced me to both.

I came over from Spacebattles. At first, I wasn't sure if I liked it here.
But then I really started to like it here. More fun :)
And a refreshing lack of, well, fundies...

So that means I am partialy responsible for your being at SD.net. Cool.

How did I find SB? Easy. I used to post at the www.annihilated.com forums (now dead) and E1701 also posted over there. We had known eachother for a year or so and were both TA fans. I had known he was a Trek fan because of his name and we talked about that from time to time. One day in early Feburary of 2000 he mentioned a really cool website with VS battles between Star Trek, Star Wars, and Babylon Five. He did warn me they weren't totaly realistic since Trek wasn't always winning  . Anyway after two days of downloading those movies he then tells me of the message boards in which people had the strange notion that Trek could loose to Star Wars. I imediately knew I had to fight the good fight so I joined up and have been there ever since.

Careful, they kill and eat girls your age there.

I suppose I should answer the OP. Technically speaking, yes, since that is where I first heard that this board had opened. I found the main site before SB though.

Which is why you guys aren't going to let them do that to me. :P

I'll probably just stick to Sd.net for now...

I've visited SB a few times, but only after discovering SD.net.

I do remember finding Poe's site first, and then eventually discovering the links here. How/Why did I find Poe's site? No clue.

Yup, SB.com was my original, main forum from what I recall during the end of '99 when I roamed it and joined early 2000. Knew of SD.net back then too.

I was on the SB.com forums before these existed, but I did not come here because of there. As a matter of fact, I first visited SB.com because of Mike's hate mail page.

I found Spacebattles before SD.Net, although the first SW vs. ST site I found was actually Waynes. I thought it was awesome (especially the Hate Mail) so I followed the link over to SD.Net and eventually joined the forums.

I found this place via google sometime in 1998 or 1999. It was when there was only 6 chapters to the fanfic, I remember that much.

I actually came from a Total Annihilations forum. Sort of random, when I stop to think about it.

I found SpaceBattles after SD.net. I have an account there, same name. I think I've made a few posts, but I almost never use it.

No, though I did visit SB on occassions for the artwork and movies. Gave the message boards a wide berth as I got all I needed at the time over in ASVS.

I think I found this one after reading all the Saxton theories in TFN. Not sure exactly where I found the link, or maybe I was looking for crossovers in Google/Yahoo/Altavista.
