A gear question..

Okay you military junkies.. I need some advise. I have a current blackhawk balaclava but I hate how it doesn't conform to my face and hangs like a curtain. Feels nice, but makes me look like I'm 10 years old. I currently just wrap a t-shirt.. but a t-shirt looks like a t-shirt. Any ideas on at least how to sew the t-shirt or recommend a good balaclava?

Since a balacava covers the entire head, that would only solve part of the problem.

Naval academy? I'm applying to the SEAP (science and engineering apprentice program) open to high school students, it offers summer jobs with various military and government labs. One of the options is Naval Academy, but I don't know what kinda research they do there.

Since the subject has been so thoroughly hijacked anyway, I might as well add that the Naval Academy has a section of it sharing the same name as I. (well, surname anyway). I've been there before, nice place.

(I'm also related to George Bancroft, founder of the Academy, according to my grandfather)

On topic about the balaclava:

Don't bother. A scarf and a hat combined provide much better cold weather protection
