Flaming arrows cannot be kept in ones inventory. They can however me set alight on site... I would assume that there is a fire-recepticle on site, and by picking up his bow, I would draw one of his arrow and set it alight

I pick up his bow, draw one of his arrows, set it alight at the logically nearby fire-recepticle, and fire it buring, into the field.

no no. Flaming arrow and normal arrows are TWO DIFFERENT KINDS. Flameing arrows have a special tip, with some thatch that's been soaked in oil. You can't fire a normal arrow and expect it to work like that.

I see... Then I assume he has them in a quiver, and that they are readuly accessible?

Ok then. You kneel down, reach around the massive bleeding chest wound and pull out a flaming arrow.

*guard drops to -4 HP*

You fire, the arrow lands in the fields and they start to burn up. The kobolds return fire and you are hit by.......
*rolls dice*
Three crossbow bolts dealing a total of 18 points of damage.

*rolls fort save vs toxin*

You feel weak.

The fireball lands in the fields. there is a lound BOOM and then are set alight.

"In the cart, I have the spell mastered though, so I'm fine."

After he gets hit, I'm taking him off the wall, towards cover and using heal skill on him.

I lean below the battlements, those arrows fucking hurt!

I cast arcane healing on the guard(2d6 hitpoints of healing)

ANd cast shield, oriented at the now burning field

I go back to the walls, poking my head out from behind them to look for the enemy(With my shield spell, 9/10ths cover, and my other spells my ac is 39)
